EvoBurst Review (OpenVZ Resource Bundle VPS's)
I got early access to @AutoSnipe’s latest venture, EvoBurst - OpenVZ resource bundle VPS packages, can launch VMs in Seattle, Los Angeles and the Netherlands. Been using it for ~2 months and subscribed to the 2G plan after 2 weeks of free access for testing.
Bundle: Evoburst 2G
- 24-32 cores access
- 2GB ram
- 15GB SSD/SAS RAID 10 storage
- 2 IPv4 (2 total VPS)
- /64 IPv6 per VM
- €4/month
3 Locations:
- Seattle, WA
- Los Angeles, CA
- Dronten, NL
Pros:
- Can launch VMs in 3 locations and tweak memory/storage exactly as needed
- Fast nodes, solid network
- Quick support/accommodating to requests & suggestions
Cons:
- No east coast US location. Only West Coast US & Western EU (would like to see NYC/ATL or even Toronto)
- Limited IPv4. I’d like to see at least 1 or 2 additional IPv4 on the bigger (4G+) plans. Possibly an option to add single IPv4/VMs to existing resource bundle.
- Limited Storage. A few extra gigs would be nice.
Feature Request:
- Backups
- IPv6-only VPS’s
Since IPv4 are limited, I’d like the ability to create IPv6-only boxes with my resources, so I can launch a couple XXXMB v6-only VMs with the extra 1GB or whatever I’m not utilizing. Access to 2-4 cores, don’t need all 24.

First of all, Thank you Mike and I'm glad you're enjoying the services
Well, this is where the fun stuff starts, We are currently looking at NYC or NJ for our next location, but as we all know these things take time. But i would like to do an Atlanta or North Carolina location too in the future, but I dare say that Upper East Coast will be the next one in.
With the limited IPv4 options available, we will more then likely upgrade this after a few months, and all current plans that will get the upgrades applied to them automatically. and this goes for the Storage space as well. But who doesn't like waking up to emails saying "You're Resource Bundle has been UPGRADED!"
While I do like the idea of IPv6 only VPS' I would have to do a feature request for this from the module's creator to do so, but I do believe they would like the idea too. So, keep an eye out.. We're always doing wonderful things
As for the Backups, this is an option we are also looking into, even if they are just daily or weekly vzdump's to an external server.
But we thought we would give users access to all cores etc, which has proven to be quite a worth while feature, as processing time's for tasks are almost instant which is perfect for most customers, although we can limit the cores on containers by request
But again, Thank you Mike for posting this Review and we are extremely happy that you have enjoyed the service thus far
Regards,
Ryan B
Was always considering buying a seattle. Now I'm getting one.
congrats for being a mayor of seattle x)
The I/O & uplink are amazing
@AutoSnipe 64MB IPv6 only VPS on 10gbit with 32 cores. This is new
Negative @Tinytunnel_tom it will be limited cores i dare say somehow lol but who knows. Will be talking to the developers later this week about it.
Sounds good, NYC/NJ would be my top pick.
Just seems like a good way to use up 'extra' resources that can't be assigned to create a regular VPS. Would be cool if you could find a way to do this.
I'd like to be able to backup & restore, etc. But an offsite vzdump would be good enough. Added layer of protection on top of my own backups.
Keep up the good work, Ryan
This is mine (MegaVZ 256MB)

:O dat IO
MegaVZ and Evoburst are really not in the same range. For your IO issue, you should report it to LowEndSpirit Forums.
Different service (4 Eur/yr vs /mo)
Edit: What @davidgestiondbi said
I did actually open a ticket but they said it's Raid Sync issue and nothing need to be resolved.
Anyone knows what's Raid Sync problem?
@PcNy
Please keep this thread on the topic. It's actually a review for the EvoBurst brand and not the LowEndSpirit NanoVZ and MegaVZ one.
If you want technical explanation on what is happening for those, please log in to the forum at http://forum.lowendspirit.com and feel free to ask your question. It's the official way to communicate with the LowEndSpirit Hosts. You can even find your answer if you go to the "Technical Support" section of the forum.
Regards, David.
Done. Hope I'll get help there.
Thanks.
Not only megavz but with budgetvz too in LA..their LA Quadranet I/O is horrible..
Does Ryan said in ticket you must take it as it is??
I guess he meant that or maybe I misunderstood.
My MegaVZ is unusable because of terrible I/O, I tried to ask but I haven't solved it, so I turned vps off and I will forget about it, 7 euro down the toilet, ok 7 euro are not that much but if you offer it...it should work.
Do you have a ticket # for me so i can check?
@PcNy - i dont know why you dont post the actual first reply. Saying that there is a raid sync occuring rather then there is a raid sync issue. Two different things.
And as @mikeyur said, Evoburst, megavz and Budgetvz are all different brands. If you are unable to depict the difference there is something wrong on your end.
The fact that on megavz whenever one thing slows down a tiny bit people run these dd tests over and over which causes more problems for everybody else.
I order yesterday an VPS @EvoBurst got the VPS in under 10 sec the servers are great so far I hope they will stay that way
I am trying hard to resist not to buy a EvoBurst 2G from @AutoSnipe . I like the brands way too much lol.
Just do it, you wont regret it
I won't have a use for them. Now I have like: 2 x BudgetVZ, 6 x NanoVZ which are idling. What will I do with 2 more?
Let them idle even more! Or find a use for it :P
@Radi - just remember the coupon BunnyEars if you go for a 2g->8g bundle
@Radi, create bot that talk to your idling VPS, so they will discuss together. No more alone idling!
It is only 3 months. 50% and recurring forever and I signup :P.
It's 20%
