Upon redemption, promotional credit expires after 12 months unless otherwise defined in the terms of the promotion. Anyway, easy come easy DO.
So basically for people who received the $100 Github Education DO credit, the credit will expire on March 6,2016. Damn! I was planning to use my credit for 20 months Looks like I better create another droplet
Maybe some quotes that interesting :
Promotional Credit
5.8 As of March 6, 2015, redemption of promotional credit is limited to 12 months from the date of issue (unless otherwise stated), at which time the credit will expire. Upon redemption, promotional credit expires after 12 months unless otherwise defined in the terms of the promotion. For instances where promotional credit was issued or redeemed prior to March 6, 2015, that credit will expire on March 6, 2016.
5.9 Only one promotional code is permitted per customer, and may be redeemed only by “new users,” defined as users who are within 30 days of launching their first Droplet.
Referral Credit
5.10 Earned credit from making a referral will not expire. All referral payouts will be paid in DigitalOcean credit.
5.11 Sign-up credit earned via referral will expire in accordance with the terms stated in section 5.8. Furthermore, such credit will be counted as the one promotional code permitted, in accordance with the terms stated in section 5.9.
My current earned credit from Referral were $15 left. But my pending credit from refferal were $13,220.00
WTF!!!
I have pending credits of around $3,000. But they only come good if those people spend over $25.
Central banks are mostly independent from governments and so are stock markets. Quantitative easing is sometimes necessary to fight deflation or a recession.
By spreading out your investments (e.g. across currencies, stocks, bonds, term deposits and real estate) you can avoid fluctuations and complete losses.
mantap gan hahaha
DO is just cleaning up the mess they started.
Not sure it was a mess, more a calculated marketing strategy that always had an end date.
well, I am glad that @Jar is talking some sense into them :P
On the other hand, many people will regret it
Regret what?
He now works at DO or what?
Yup.
Yep.

Mkay, now we know whom to blame for ruining DO. ^^
What's a good way to use all these credits up??
What's the link to check the remaining credits?
Ya lets blame this guy
Selling your accounts on LET
He does look like a linux admin, haha
Download massives amounts of porn.
he looks like he smoked some weed before the photo haha.
Love you guys too :P
Or walked a mile through snow for the first time in his life haha
Probably. But it's quite rude of them to not grandfather people in that have credit sitting there waiting to be used when it's most convenient for them [ the user ]. I would have expected them to be a bit nicer to the people that were there from the start.
tor exits + attack servers
Exactly, invent whatever terms you want for new promos, but to retroactively pull the rug from under existing users is totally a dick move.
Now it all makes a little more sense
Ugh, looks like I'll spin up some droplets just for speedtest nodes then.
