Developing VPS status panel for mobile, need your suggestions and feedback
Hi guys,
I'm developing VPS status panel for mobile devices and want to hear your suggestions and requirements. It will be free of course. Currently there are few sections available:
- Server load graph (5 min. intervals)
- Current server load
- Memory information (RAM + SWAP Total/Free/Available with pie charts)
- Drive space information (Total/Free/Available with pie charts)
- System information
- Running processes information
Thank you for your suggestions...

My first suggestion - dont make it free.
Why not charge $1 or $1.99 for it?
It would be worth it
Where's it pull all this information from?
Is it an app that integrates with a certain control panel? (like Virtualizor or Solus?)
What are you making it in?
Why you do it? I can monitor my vps with virtualizor or solusvm. If you can make it for multiple vps it will have some value (for me).
PHP
This would be the next step, via connector script
It uses PHP and native shell commands to pull information.
It looks good, but why not just open website of your favourite monitoring (or your own status page) on mobile browser?
This will be actually stand alone script , not a service, you install it on your own VPS(server), so it will be your own status script optimized for mobile phones
how can we test it if it cost? there are other free, why should i pay?
i agree he has to charge something, but i hate to pay something and then it doesnt work as i need.
Why make it an app?
You can't use an app like this without a live Internet connection, so just make it a mobile-friendly web page, which is what he appears to be doing. Perfect platform independence with none of the app hassle.
