NWNX is ChicagoVPS, not exactly a 'hidden provider'.
I think he meant 'secretive.'
NWNX / ChicagoVPS / ColoCrossing
shouldn't be a big deal... colocrossing is pretty reputable.
Hope you aren't merging with ChicagoVPS though.
Good to see you are honest and open to your customers and community - it's always nice to see, thumbs up.
I think Damian collects LEBs as well. He should send his emails out from them. ;-)
When they should expect to get back, and would there be any other setup issues like change of IP etc?
Thanks
There will be an announcement later today. I need to confirm with Adam that our hardware is safe and in his possession.
Indeed, that's why we went with NWNX... I don't really get the feeling ChicagoVPS is doing anything but growing, but if they do end up going away, it's still Colocrossing...
We're not. We had a few offers to buy either our entire business, or select portions of it, but after seeing all the kind words from everyone in this thread, and the other thread about the 32mb plan, it 'recharged' me on wanting to keep going.
I do, but they get used for DNS I should put an email relay on them.
Don't merge with ChicagoVPS, I don't want my 32mb to be 2048mb. That will kill the fun.
Please be successful
Yep, keep it up, the scene will be poorer without you.

@Damian, just signed up to say thanks for your efforts!
This! The fact that you're being so transparent about this entire process with not only your customers but the entire LET community is amazing on a very large number of levels.
Props to damian for making a good choice and being so open about his troubles. +1
where are damien and adam.. i hope busy in starting their server in new DC.
Any other thought kills the fun for me
do you ever read what you post
Agreed.
Unfortunately, we're not that far advanced, but I should have an announcement on a schedule of events within the hour.
UPDATE: NWNX has confirmed our colocation order. We are packaging and shipping the servers now.
Disagreed.
Phoenix to Buffalo is gonna be one hell of an overnight bill, and still not arrive til Thursday
Potentially agreed.
will be cheaper actually carrying them by air.
Please excuse my ignorance, but how far is it?
@Damian and @phxadam
From a customer, thanks for all the updates and for working to get things back up.
Sounds like some nasty lemons, so here's hoping your lemonade turns out well. Nothing but best wishes!
Not by much... we're looking at about $350 per server.

Thank you!
@Damian oh... driving is out of the question then.
Not in America :P they are used to this big distance driving I think
Indeed we are, but not 3 entire days round-trip
Oh wow.
Woah this will give me a nice ping boost
But why Buffalo? I thought you wanted to keep the servers somewhere where you live
Good luck with the moving
@Damian So your deal should have been great to justify this move :-)
If you take turns, possible to get it done in 2 days.
