When I get a backup plan.... say BU25 and after a while I need more... is it possible to request an upgrade to a higher plan?
You can upgrade and downgrade your Backup VPS at any time (automatically) in the client area.
Hey, cool!
O32 is listed at $13.90, - 25% = $10.43 not $8.93. Am I missing something?
Thanks
Rob
Yeah, giving Blite a trial run to see how it feel.
Doh! I was using the prices from here as my base prices for some reason. I probably should have waited to post this tonight instead of right before going to bed. :X
Can blite run on SD O32?
I think what's so great about this offer, is not just the prices and specs(which are great), but the fact SecureDragon is a proven high quality provider, that's been around for awhile now. A luxury you just don't have with newer overnight popups that tend to disappear within a few months. Here's a recent review of SecureDragon http://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/3135/securedragon-i-love-039em
If you use nginx or lighttpd it should run no problem. Blite.ca is running on a 64MB VPS and only using 13MB of RAM (http://blite.ca/status.html).
Yes. A while back I setup a (local) 32/64 OpenVZ Debian 6 VPS to try it out. There's no problem running nginx and php-fpm, but I'd get errors with apt-get even with all services stopped. It may have been something I had poorly configured with the VM. Wouldn't be surprised if KuJoe's setup is better
Very tempting. When will the promo end? Thanks!
I wouldn't recommend this guy/
Why would that be? You can't just say that without a reason.
Would say performance has been good on my 96mb xen vm, but sort of disappointed how they handled the xen outage couple weeks ago. They stated they would send out updates, but still have not received anything.
I take it they are replacing xen with kvm, but they could at least let their customers know, and what the future is for them.
I'll give this a try! Can't really pass it up with prices like this! :-)

FWIW I signed up for a BU100 and an O256... quick performance test:
O256 (certainly not too shabby):
BU100 (guessing network speeds are limited but that's perfectly OK for a backup VPS IMO):
Now I have to decide what to do with these... Damn LEB addiction.
Thanks sleddog, but they still should have emailed their clients (they emailed the original problem). And I guess the 96 and 128 xens are in limbo.
Sad to see no offer was extended to the xen package I have. ahh well.
Sorry about that, I posted the announcement and the e-mail completely slipped my mind at the time.
All Xen PV plans are still supported for as long as we have 1 Xen PV client. Again, I apologize for the lack of e-mail when I should have sent one out right after posting the announcement.
We tried really hard to make this work but it would have resulted in incurring thousands of dollars of debt in addition to operating at a loss of $300/month just for our KVM line (not including the additional monthly cost for the 2nd cabinet it would require) and ultimately we cannot take that risk right now.
All Xen PV clients are welcome to switch to KVM but we cannot offer the same discounts most of our clients are receiving on our X96 and X128 plans (and we have a set limit of 96/128MB VPSs we will fit on a KVM node so not everybody could switch without us buying additional hardware, power, bandwidth, space, and networking gear).
He's not happy that we do not offer refunds after 30 days and that we require clients to follow our TOS.
Care to elaborate?
He'd take your yearly vps simply because you're not polite to him.
Never ask any refund, you have to put 'sir' in front of this J***.
you can buy whatever you feel like, but don't forget to put 'sir' in front of his 'whatever his name is'.

1) We closed your account because you couldn't follow our TOS after giving you multiple chances.
2) We always honor our 30 day money back guarantee policy. There has never been a single client who did not receive a refund from us within 24 hours. There are even some clients who received a partial refund after 6 months due to extreme circumstances.
3) We do not require "sir" and every single client can tell you that.
You're confusing me with some other guy 'sir', your last ticket said, 'you are not polite to me, so we're closing your account' , I used to have 3 yearly vps, all gone...
Anyway, by gone is by gone, don't rip people off anymore, be honest once.
Really? So why does the last ticket in our system for your account look like this?
I can vouch for that sir.
took no time to make one up, good luck.
Thanks, we appreciate your support.
pretty sure you're supposed to prorate and refund for any cancellations, regardless if fraud or not.
@kbar we do offer a 100% 30 day money back guarantee. Here is our refund policy directly from our TOS:
@KuJoe has been nothing but a great provider to me. He's helpful in tickets, always kind to customers (except the ones who don't deserve it), and is constantly giving updates on what his plans for the company are. If you don't have a VPS with SD, give 'em a try.
