European VPS for email
Hello, I'm looking for some cheap hosting for my personal email and possibly VPN, looking for the following
- 1 x Static IPv4 and IPv6 (this will need to be a none blacklisted IP)
- Xen or KVM (might try disk encryption)
- ~20GB+ of usable space after installing OS
- 512 RAM
I would like the diskspace and RAM to be upgradable without moving IPs
Absolute performance isn't important, bandwidth usage is likely to be very low. As mentioned I would like a supplier who doesn't have their IPs listed in RBL blacklists, and who is dedicated to keeping their IPs this way.
My budget is around £30 per year
Thanks for your time

Crissic is what comes to mind
Thanks for the suggestion, but it appears that Crissic only has US datacentres, I'm looking for something in europe
Ramnode is what comes to my mind.
RunAbove (OVH) is what comes to my mind
Get 5$ and +10$ if you register through this link http://runabove.me/ZM7S
The cheapest option is 2.50$ month, 20 Gb space, 2 Gb ram, 1 core
I guess it suits you, OVH has datacenters in France and Canada, you can choose both locations in RunAbove
If RunAbove's IP space is running on OVH's ASN this is not a good idea since many SMTP servers simply block OVH or have some other form of protection against OVH (i.e. Hotmail).
What?! Why?
OVH is one of the biggest hosting companies
http://www.spamhaus.org/statistics/networks/ OVH are at number 5
What about the smaller providers, I was thinking of onepoundhost and the $4.5 NL offer ? RAMNode is a real possibility, but I wonder if they could come into the too big to care category
BuyVM is going to start operations in Luxembourg in the coming days/weeks. It could be an interesting option.
SeFlow: two-datacenter redundancy for your email at a ridiculous price:

Iwstack maybe?
I am using UltraVPS.eu for this - so far can't complain. Xen-based 512MB RAM and 15GB HDD in Düsseldorf, Germany for 2€/month
went for iwstack in the end, not used it yet but looks interesting
