Amazon Route 53
Cloudflare
rage4 dns!
I use bind but if you ask me why, cause that is what i use in last 9 years.. it just works...
sorry if i missed any but i just listed what i had heard of
nsd3
For the OP. I am using NSD3 too.
Route53
Also use Cloudflare quite heavily.
Would consider running my own but I hear horror stories, and it's not really a requirement for what I'm doing
cloudns.net but have been looking into moving to rage4 dns
Im running my own atm using bind its quite easy esp if you have a control panel to take care of it all lol (ispconfig!) im in the process of moving to solusvm for a play with vm's
+1 MaraDns
Amazon's Route 53 for anything you need 100% SLA (you won't get more reliable).
Amazon's Route 53 for everything else.
Good 'ole bind for local dns servers.
+1.
dns.he.net
I'm surprised that it took this long for dns.he.net to be mentioned. I have nothing negative to say about their service, it's rock solid, work's great, free!, and backed by a major ISP.
+1 for Amazon Route53 -- their system for automatically changing the DNS in the event of downtime is well done.
HE.NET is rock solid, I have used it happily for many years. This said, like most outsourced DNS services, their CP is not much help when managing large lists of domains.
Most project's I'll use bind for DNS. I've used dnsmadeeasy.com in the past and it worked out good as well, didn't have any issues. Cloudflare on the other hand, I've had customers report several issues of DNS server's being down, or when they make a change in the CP it appears not to take affect.
Good old bind does the job for me. Simple and reliable.
NSD 4 (latest version is 4.1.0).
Rage4 because dead simple GeoDNS.
PDNS with MySQL backed !
Use Rage4 aswell.
