A post with a title more informative than the body?
Vultr are giving $1,000 credit to the customer who happens to launch the 100,000th instance.
I want to win... again.
I am still so jealous of you.
Good, makes it fair
I can't find the number of deployed instances on their website
Wow, another event!

See above. The whole point is people deploying instances with a chance to win, not just start deploying instances when it gets to 99,990
The idea is not to spam vps creation so hiding the counter will helpfully mitigate that.
Is this the reason my vps io speed is slow?
168 MB/s is very fast actually
PM me your instance IP, I want our team to check that out.
@DaveA Thank you. It is better. Will bigger plans provide higher result?
I mean, LET is all about dd porn since quite some time, but what the heck are you using the VM for that needs more than 360 MB/s?
DD tests
@eddynetweb It is hilarious when you guys find the movie frames with the appropriate note. lol

if you run a very large database or complex applications which uses large files and you want to improve server performance, I'm sure you will make the dd test every hour
And slow down your application and everyone elses every hour? BS - no sysadmin in their right mind would do this. It wouldn't matter for measuring performance anyway - most people around here use some sort of caching so you would probably be hitting the cache.
