They were using an .org
Found with google:
Or maybe they forgot to pay the domain, lol.
A host with a whois protected .org domain is down? How surprising! :O
Even though i have no evidence. i think it was run by jordan mckeag. Due to the telephone numbers being the same, Where he lives, the way he talks (On msn) etc
What also gave it away was. When i looked at credit records. i couldnt find any information about the owner of the domain cobrahost.
Isn't cobra the ones that got raided by the feds?
There was a thread on rune-server about them.

The TL;DR seems to be:
This, people, is why OVH is disliked.

Since he's UK based he likely abused the first 30 day free policy and just kept cashing out.
There's a tasty thread on WHT about it:

He did have a german location too.
Maybe hetzner/server4you gave him a free month start up as well?
Francisco
I think you have to be registered at companies house however to get the 30 day free thing.

Francisco

The opposite of Frantastic
Depends on the method.

We paid around £28 to get registered as a PLC, Company Mailing box is about £50/Year.
I ain't cheap at all... :P
Why is a whois privacy relevant?
It's common for scams to come back again for a 2nd/3rd helping at free money by using whois protection to hide themselves.
