Most nicest offer thread on LET yet
Amazing, I love it clean and simple
Oh, And the offers are nice, but that layout though!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ECC_memory
I updated the OP to prevent confusion.
Thanks. Spent some time working on the layout after mpkossen told me HTML was fine in offers, as long as I didn't break the LET layout or cover up any admin controls, haha.
It looks really nice Good offer!
Thanks .
Any ipv6 in chicago? Wouldnt mind a yearly there. Hows the stability of your servers been?
Hello @AutoSnipe,
We are all set to provide Native IPv6 within the next two weeks. We are currently waiting for our new Cisco router firmware to finish lab testing (making sure our configuration does not have any issues, as we use GVRP, STP, and 802.1QinQ ; which has caused some issues in the past with firmware updates.)
We have so far had a 99.954% network uptime in our Chicago location (sadly, the network was down for a short while due to incoming DDoS earlier this week); and had only two small maintenance windows; both of which were preventative to avoid there being a network issue in the future. We have had a 100.0% hardware and power uptime in this location.
If any issues were to be encountered or forseen with a single blade in our cluster, the blade could be pulled from the array without bringing any of your Virtual Private Servers down; as with our new cluster, we have both Live Migration and Automatic Failover and Healing/Recovery enabled in our OpenNebula deployment due to our SAN.
Unsurprisingly, our website and panel is once again under heavy load due to an incoming attack on Apache. It is rather unfortunate that someone is jealous enough of our services to see a need to attack it so openly. We are currently working on mitigating the attack in place and I'll update this post as efforts continue.
Both included in the price or is the 2nd IP extra?
Hello @aglodek,
The second IP address included in the Ci3 plans and above is included free of charge if it can be properly justified. There is no additional fee for the second IP address if it is justified. Additional IP addresses past the initial 2 can be purchased at a cost of $1 per IP per month.
site down ?
Hello @ndlong75,
@aglodek, @AutoSnipe
This has been fixed now. The site is currently under heavy DDoS.
All discounts listed here are permanently recurring.
Steadfast's Datacenter. Nice
Can I run hitleap/jingling on the (KVM) GoodHosting Ci1 VPS?
Nice offers
Yup .
Nope. This would be far too resource intensive for this plan. JingLing and HitLeap both use an incredible amount of I/O resources.
Thanks!
Had some problems with OpenNebula in the beginning. Contacted the support and we sorted all things out. Great support!
Thanks for the positive nod. OpenNebula is not the easiest panel for most, which is why we're always on board to help clients through the initial hoops. Feel free to contact our support again if there's any more ways we can help you out.
which datacenter? any test IP
I have removed the test IP due to DDoS attacks on the IP shortly after posting, but I have sent you a Private Message containing a test IP address and more information as requested regarding the location.
This. You were a great help to me and I appreciate your services.
Website down?
Can you pm me the test ip
Cpu 100 units = 1 core?
Here's a small benchmark from a ci3 box:
I think I/O could be better for a SSD node. Hope that helps
WTF, I/O 7 MB/s
same question.
is it better than 4 core (shared) @ 2.1ghz?
Is it ok if I use the trial license of windows?
@GoodHosting It is sad to see that, as you say, you receive a large DDoS attack continuously for many days now, it is very cheap from some of low end behavior providers here to try to harm competitors that way... Hope you pass on that without harm on your side...
Now, a question: what is the equivalent actual cpu power for your cpu units? And are those units dedicated (I mean, can be used 24/7) or not? Thank you
Thank you for the kind words.
Yup, I'll PM you the test IP in just a moment,
And yes; 100 CPU Units == 24x7 usage on 1 Core; or 24x7 50% usage across 2 cores, since you can design your own Virtual Machines; you can decide how the CPU units get split across more cores, if your application works better with more threads.
I would personally say so, since our CPU units are a measure of dedicated resources.
Can you please re-set your scheduler to "noop" , then open a Support Ticket in regards to this issue? That kind of low I/O is simply unacceptable, and I would like to nip that issue before it continues. Can you please also tell me what cache you set for the volatile disk attached to your VM?
Yes.
Yes, the CPU units are dedicated (as mentioned above) ; and yes, it really is unfortunate that we are still receiving attacks. I think it's more unfortunate still how our current host is dealing with it, by simply threatening us to be terminated if we keep receiving them, even though they are a DDoS protected host.
