Burst.NET -> SmartHost?
Just saw this thread on WHT:
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1397227
which lead me to this thread on "the other forum":
https://vpsboard.com/topic/4838-burstnet-getting-back-into-the-game-with-smarthost/
This is pretty interesting, apparently according to Shawn he was forced out of management and he is now starting anew with SmartHost.
I am not sure what is the true story there (we probably will never hear the truth also), but I have to admit it was a little surprise for me to see such a big company unload their VPS business just like that and at the very least, for a company who has been in existence for over 20 years, I do see some inconsistencies in the way things are done.
What is your thought about this?

Or you mixed up with the VPSB thread?
i wonder what the posters full name is :O
Anything to do with burst.net or its ilk:
Just feel pretty bad about the whole situation since I am sure almost every one of us have owned a Burst.NET VPS at some point and they are a really old company and I believe a significant contributor to Virtualizor and CPanel if my memory served me correctly.
I don't know about cPanel, but Burst was the only thing keeping vePortal -- not Virtualizor -- alive, probably
Yes, I'm a former burst.net victim...
+1 for me too..
Can't say this surprises me one bit, though I have to imagine that Shawn will have creditors after him (and all of his new entities) for the rest of his life due to the way Burst imploded.
