Experiencing very low speeds in my Weloveservers vps (Resolved)
Hello. Is anybody experiencing low speeds in their weloveservers.net vps? After a couple of months that I had my box with WLS idle (yearly contract), I started to use it again since the start of July to build a system there.
Connection speeds of the box are low. I reinstalled the box with several OS's to test it (Ubuntu, Centos 6, Debian) and the simple update / upgrade command took ages to finish in all of distros (speeds downloading files from repos 25-100 Kb/s!
Cachefly results are not good:

Testing with speedtest.net from several locations, disappointing, too:

I contacted support, they told me that it was fixed, but it was not (a little better speeds of 10% but not real usable speeds).
I had a response like that: "We will continue to monitor this and will make changes if something goes bad", although the issue was not solved. The ticket closed itself without a new response.
Have to mention that initially (February) the speeds to this box were very good, dramatically different that todays.
Do anyone of you has low speeds with their box at WLS?
Comments
It's normal for WLS.
It wasn't a few months ago. For example, I had speeds with cachefly over 10MBs at February... Now, 1.9 is the best I can get. And updating the os, had speeds (Centos 6) of over 1.8MBps, now mostly 100-200KBps
WLS (UK node) looks ok for now:
speedtest-cli
cachefly
I'm in Buffalo, NY (and I wish I had those speeds)
Abuser/Oversold at a guess.
@wych I think, oversold. Low speeds are constant for over 20 days now.
Miracle! After posting this thread, speeds were multiplied!
And the speeds in updating are over 2Mbps, too!
"Believed and do not inquire"!
My WLS VPS is so slow that when I run a benchmark it reboots. I use it for a PPP connection now. Its idling and it ll die next month.
And the speed of my box is getting looowwwww again... (30-150kbps on updating etc.). Damn...
No problem for me on Node19 - LA

I have the same problem on my UK WLS box. They say in support it is fixed but it isn't. Hmm
Great, I just moved my VPS in Orlando, FL to the UK hoping for better uptime (I would wake up to at least a email a day indicating FL node was down) but now looks like speed is the next issue. Looks like I wont be renewing with WLS anytime soon.
Hey folks,
I am not aware of any network issues in the UK. Shoot me an email c.boswell [at] weloveservers [dot] net and I'll gladly take a look and resolve any problems (if any). Thank you for hosting with WeLoveServers.
Chris
@Oxide moved me to a new node and upgrade the speed, too. He was really helpful. Thank you, Chris!
Speeds now are excellent
