I had need for basic ping graphing, so I created this. Thought it might be useful to someone else.

Out of curiosity why didn't you use smokeping?
I had a very basic need and wanted something very simple. It was a fun little project, haven't been doing much bash scripting lately, so I had a chance to brush up.
Can you show an example image?
The most coolest solution would be to do traceroute or mtr instead of ping With graphs it will be much more useful than simple ping.

This is quite useful. Thank you. I'd been wishing to take the time to understand RRD for a long time, to add to my ping script.
