Depending on how many subdomains you need to secure, often it's cheaper to get multiple standard SSLs.

I have separate SSL certs for a few different customer facing areas. Just want to combine the non shopping cart ones under a single cert, and keep my EV SSL certs for our WHMCS/Payment portals.
