Archipel Project
I came accross this in LinuxFormat, although not specifically designed for VPS companies, maybe one day we could see companies start using it. It does look like a sexy VM panel.

Cool. I remember a similar project for Virtualbox or sth like that, porting an interface for the web.
Cool, looking forward for providers who will use this
They only support KVM at the moment but the project is very interesting
I beleive Xen is also supported.
From the website:
Note that at the moment we only support KVM/QEMU. This is due to lack of features or bugs on other libvirt's drivers. Xen support is coming soon.
"What is Archipel ?
Archipel is an Open Source project that aims to bring push notifications to virtualization orchestration using XMPP.
Archipel relies on open source technologies like python, ejabberd, cappuccino, strophe, nginx, libvirt, KVM and even more. All of these technologies are mixed together to create a real time orchestration solution for virtualization.
Thanks to Archipel you are be able to :
Not what it says in there read me NordicVps :P
I'd use that anytime. Lets see how it compares in terms of performance..
you can't type wget&&./install.sh, that means it's too complicated for most of the crap hosts :>

Libvirt: preliminary support for Xen (bugged due to libvirt)
"type? Can't I click?"
XMPP based libvirt front end? So that means I can now reboot my VPS while chatting in Google Talk? Sweet
LOL yeah, sounds like that xDDDD
This looks nice, lets hope some hosts support it

My god does libvirt suck for KVM.
