Dr. Mike's Dumb Question #8344546 - tcp, udp, iptables, and bears. Oh my!
Dumb question about tcp and udp and their use with iptables. How do you tell if a program or script is using either tcp or udp? There's nothing in the docs about it, no discussion on their forums which are locked out for new users, and nothing via a google. Or do you just assume both and unblock the port for both forms?
thanks

Doesn't
netstat --tcp --udp --listening --program
work for you? Or did I understand you wrong?I just did the normal netstat without the extras.
Thanks. It's tcp.
