xen plans added http://www.dmbhosting.co.uk starting from £3.99 a month
Shameless but useful plug: I did a review on DMB's 512 MB OpenVZ plan here: http://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/294/community-review-dmb-hosting-512-mb-openvz/
Hmm.. Anyone still use HyperVM, I know Solus isn't really that much better but still...
we also use solus we go with ease of use for the client. After all not everyone knows what there doing and for the majority simplicity is key
I came to a conclusion that most that use HyperVM are experienced + hard working providers. While Solus, you can't tell. just personal thought
I personally don't mind HyperVM apart from the interface, which is a big no-no for me. IMO Solus's new design is nearly on par with HyperVM's design. Not a good sign.
I disagree. If I'm not mistaken Myresellerhost and Hostrail used HyperVM.
They used it to cut costs, not because it was better than even solus. For those two providers it's pretty obvious that they needed that $10/m per node to get by.
Francisco
$10 per node really does add up when you have a lot of nodes, and it's only recently that Solus has really brought out any functionality that surpasses HyperVM.
Yep. We got to 35 nodes ($350/m) with solus and went 'Huh, thats $4000+ a year! That's like...two trips to Vegas!' and started development on stallion.
I really do think if I rolled out stallion as a one off purchase deal for companies that it'd get some real interest.

@Francisco
You should see my DA bill.
$19 a month x 122 servers x 12 months = $27,816.
I am... scared Mike
Would it not be better to just buy the licences?
$19 a month x 122 servers x 12 months = $27,816.
So your company that offers shared hosting has 122 servers, and at least you host 250 clients on each server, so 122*250 = 30500 , wow! Meaning company with at least over 30k clients! That must be one of the largest shared hosting providers :X
Great offer, keep it up!
The upgrades only apply for a year. You have to buy them as extra afterwards. (edit: Or is it direct tech support? One or the other.)
We only have 4800 shared clients across 25 servers. The agreement/ contract with our outsourced tech support company allows for a max of 200 (well, we get 225) clients per server. The other servers are leased out whole. (A couple of webcomics, one rather large content provider, a large scale forum, etc.
Ah, yes, they only offer 90 days technical support on the lifetime licenses.
As far as I know, the upgrades are "forever" on lifetime licenses but tech support is limited.
Something like that....
