Hukot.cz - 50% off, lowest package 1.46 € + VAT
For those interested, Czech Republic KVM vps hosting provider Hukot.cz have right this moment 50% off recurring pricing which brings their lowest VPS package to 1.46 € + VAT.
VAT doesn't seems deducted for buyers outside of the EU.
They state "unmetered" bandwidth and /64 IPv6 subnet by default.
I am not affiliated with them and I haven't tried their service yet, so I can't say anthing about quality however from time to time I see LET members looking for czech located vps and this seems like a good opportunity to get it for decent price. Don't blame me if things don't go as expected - I just share my finding!
Offer seems time limited (until 16th April 2014).

Their website state:
Currently we offer linux distributions Debian, Gentoo, Ubuntu, CentOS, Scientific, SuSe, Fedora, Elastix in the last stable version; from BSD family we offer FreeBSD and Debian kFreeBSD (Standardly we install 64 bit version - 32bit is also available if demanded) and from Microsoft: Windows XP, Windows 7 (Professional, Enterprise a Ultimate), Windows 2008 R2 Datacenter a Windows 2012 Datacenter - activation of the Windows operating system is directed by the customer.
Every virutual server is connected with 1Gbps to our network, which has connectivity 2 x 10 Gbps to NIX. Servers are located in own datacenter.
I didn't find much info about them at LET, just those two statements:
William said: Note: The unmetered on hukot is not unmetered.
salakis said: I can recommend hukot.net. Their servers are in Česká Třebová. Check the server on speedtest.net by Kabelová Televize CZ s.r.o., should be the same DC.
P.S. This is what LEB should be for :P

Damn. So. Tempting.
If only I hadn't blown $36 for a yearly 1GB KVM in Switzerland..
@William, if it's not umetered, how much do you actually get?
Just ordered the cheapest one, monthly it's 1,77€
Awesome name
Just received my vps. Will benchmark it l8.
I just ordered it and recieved login credentials almost instantly. Control panel is nicely integrated into their website, but from what I see the only option to install it is through java installer. This does not please me.
@trexos I think you paid also VAT which doesn't seems deducted for buyers outside of the EU, only for those with valid VAT number.
@amarc it does the same to me with FF, then I tryed with IE and it went through nicely.
From the TOS, hukot.cz mentioned SecurityNet.cz. Any idea who is it?
Upload of own iso file support, awesome
@amarc I am not sure if that's browser related. To me it seems like a "bug" at their site related to unproper format of data (ZIP and phone number) I entered. They seems to be very strict about ZIP code and phone number format and basicly forced me to enter one zero more (most likely .cz zip code format).
Maybe simple cookie deletion and then start from beginning would solve it. Just saying.
SecurityNet.cz s.r.o. is registered parent company http://www.hukot.net/en/kontakt/
I try to order.. but why the price includes the VAT?? Im am Malaysian
They don't remove VAT for anyone.
what about tun/tap????
See WEDOS in case you are interested in a Czech located VPS (with their very own DC in Hluboká nad Vltavou).
Price: 4.40€/mo
So it's safe to order then?
It's KVM right? If it's KVM, we have tun/tap by default
its KVM
I don't see why not. They are somewhat "popular" here in Czech.
Benchmark completed. Awesome disk speed, but network isn't good.

Yeah this is exactly why you wanna stay away from Czech based servers.
owwwwww.. hahaha... silly me.. I never use kvm before. thanks for info
this will be a kickstart for me to involve in kvm..hehehhee
great!
And they have face! (check pictures https://www.facebook.com/hukot.cz
Need a new VPN location so either here or Sweden with YourServer.se
Damn, why is it so hard to choose!
haha same with me. I chose this offer, so you should choose Sweden, so we can compare our VPS? :P
What's the VPS cotrol panel they use?
And the VPS system need i to install?
That's my main concern with YourServer. When I buy server for VPN usage I want to google and all other services I may visit actually recognize it at swedish and not (in this case) Latvian although some commercial geolocation databases like maxmind already show proper location.
Yes.
PS. I still didn't install my hukot.cz VPS. Installing java locally just for one KVM VNC reinstallation somehow does not appeal me.
Already "liked" their Facebook Page:D, you should find me there
@World
They use a custom panel, but it works great and is very simple. I like it. And yes, you have to install your VPS over VNC.
So is it actually recognised as Sweden or no?
Thank you.
One question:could i install over VNC by software(like "VNC® Viewer")?Or only use Java?
I don't have it so I can't say for sure, but I checked some geolocation databases. Some show proper location, some does not. By my experience google and other bigger players don't care about maxmind and other smaller up-to-date commercial databases and just show location where IPs are allocated. (ie. ftp://ftp.ripe.net/pub/stats/ripencc/delegated-ripencc-latest ) Lets talk about this in yourserver.se thread
Only java in this specific case.
Great service, Vps ready in a minute with SSD Disk, Benchmark:
