Since I have a window open trying to track down a routing issue:
From my quickweb vps in germany:
I believe I'm also in the Equinix datacenter.
If your not thats some fast route :P
Thanks for sharing the results Mike.
I get 25ms pings to the German server. I thought Equinix was a UK company?
heh I thought they were an investment company first I heard of them.
:P They have a big DC in the UK. Google is a client of theirs AFAIK.
They have locations everywhere, they are massive to say they we`re founded in 1998. We have not had one second of downtime since we purchased servers there, so as you can imagine so far i am one happy client.
They're an US corp. But who cares where the seat of a company is? I guess on LEB nobody so far
Hmm.. Are they?, they have one of the biggest DC's in the UK.
Düsseldorf server has a nice ping from my home, i might consider buying a server in that datacenter
If your talking about a dedi, i must warn you they are far from cheap
@VMport: Really? DediServ.eu offers an E3-1270 with 16 GB memory, 4 1 TB SATA2 hard drives, hardware raid controller and 5 TB bandwidth for 120€. I wouldn't consider that far from cheap.
That's $163 US. That seems high in the price range but with that hardware, not too bad. I know I'm about the same but with only 2 drives and no raid. It's semi managed upon request and monitored though.
