OVH Classic VPS back, starting at 2 EUR/month for 1C/1GB RAM/10GB
I don't work for OVH, just passing along news from Twitter. These are available in RBX, SBG and BHS.

Also seems they have removed the LowLatency lineup, used to be here: http://www.ovh.com/fr/vps/vps-low-latency.xml
Now just redirects to the main VPS page.
Sounds good.they cap Bw?
@infected: Have a look at the offer, they provide 10TB per month at 100MBit/s, afterwards its limited to 1MBit/s.
Are there any test IPs to see the differences in latency for the three DCs?
100 Mbps Guaranteed up to 10,000 GB data transfered per month, then 1 Mbps
http://proof.ovh.net/ has links for the various DCs.
Yes, if you go over 10TB, the speed is reduced to 1Mbps for the rest of the month.
This is a pretty good deal, especially since Anti-DDoS is included.
Nice info. OVH just kick out competitors with these locations and prices
Benchmark from Straßburg:
As i posted it
If anyone has one from Roubaix or BHS feel free to post them, IMO RBX is their best Europe DC(s)
Benchmarks looks okay nothing special but not bad as well. Does anyone have screenshots from the webinterface?
Vswap, burst or just plain 1G?
Edit: never mind, I see it in the screenshots. Thanks guys.
ovz, cheap. oversold perhaps? and the lack of ssd.
I think the good thing is the DDoS protection.
I placed an order for a VPS in BHS, but it was flagged and I need to go through the verification process (again)
Horrible!,........ oversold?
:wq
How about iptables, TUN/TAP? Guess they disabled..
The I/O on mine sucks, either they are getting blasted with benchmark runs or seem to be oversold.
I read somewhere they are enabled, you could always drop a ticket in.
@orakle thanks man
UK ans itqly? The offer is only in FR and CA DCs, you might mean uk and italy ovh sites.
Edited
You're right my mistake
Unixbench from Straßburg:
Yes, seems iptables enabled on main, no tickets
My question is whether if its oversold extensively. OVH has cheap as chips hardware and I'm curious if they can provide such resources in a dedicated manner as a result.
It is, when i have 1gig Memory and running a HL2 gameserver which use about 200MB and its wapping out 80MB is maybe overzold?
@Infinity580 what does it show, the difference between "physpages" and "oomguarpages"? Which means how much memory is physically allocated, and how much is virtual? Not sure this necessarily means "swapped out". You can open "top" and see the same difference between "VIRT" and "RES", the first one will show crazy amounts for some programs, doesn't mean that's all stuff swapped out to disk. Also they use vSwap and not Burst RAM, afaik there was no way to detect physically swapped out pages on vSwap.
@rm its basically the script from here: http://lowendbox.com/blog/how-to-tell-your-openvz-vps-is-swapping/
@Infinity580 right, and I even wrote some script there, in 2010 O.o
but all of that was for Burst RAM, last time I checked it did not show anything meaningful on vSwap OpenVZ.
@rm_ Yes but when i have 1gig left and it swapped out 128MB its basically oversold...
just ordered one, 30 eur per year not bad, will use it as vpn
does if someone order must provide valid identification?
