Proxmox + Failover IP's

I'm having a Proxmox Server with Online.net, but it's a pain in the ass at the moment.
I created a virtual MAC at the Online.net Panel. I've put the MAC-address onto my VPS in Proxmox. Installed CentOS via netinstall, everything went fine. When I rebooted the VPS, I lost my internet connection on the VPS.
I tried to ping the IP-address, but it's not reachable. So I am assuming due to misconfiguration, my VPS does not have internet. This is how I configured:
I use 88.191.189.1 as gateway.
Interface eth0 says: RTNETLINK ANSWERS: NO SUCH DEVICE
RTNETLINK ANSWERS: NO SUCH PROCESS
I've been Googling for 2 days and I'm really stuck now. Help me, please?!

Fixed it. Routing went wrong.
I have the same problem ,
can't configure the failover ip for vm

I wrote this about online.net and VMWare, the configuration should work the same for proxmox I believe: http://blog.nvw.io/using-vmware-esxi-and-online-net-failover-ips/
thanks for sharing that,
I'm using RHEL but it not using post-up
would you please tell me what is the alternate to post-up with RHEL
Maybe the issue is NEIGHBOUR_DEVS. See http://blog.droidzone.in/2013/10/20/setting-up-a-dedicated-server-on-online-net/
