I'm looking for best (low MEM+CPU) non-authoratitive, caching recursive DNS server.
I use BIND9 currently. But wanted to get alternatives for it.

pdns-recursor
unbound
Just don't use djbdns. Everything else should work
Also using pdns-recursor on my 10 DNS Servers... Incl. DNSCrypt setup and still happy
dnsmasq works fine.
+1 for dnsmasq.
dnsmasq isn't recursive.
unbound
+1 unbound!
Why?.. Is djbdns so bad?
precursor is the best
It was written by a mad genius many years ago and not updated or maintained after that. Also the configuration is a little... strange to say. Just avoid it if you can.
Thanks everyone for their comments.
I have installed unboud on a test box.
+1 for Unbound.
