Couldn't pass up this offer! What kind of deployment time am I looking at?
How long will you be staying at your current DC?
Deadpooling host, not worth trying.
So does anyone want to explain the current drama right now? I've heard so much about VolumeDrive, good and bad, that I don't even know what kind of opinion to formulate.
Have they settled their debts yet or is it still to come to court?
For one thing, they are being sued.
I knew that much. But we'll say what other people say.
There's also a 123 page thread on them in WHT.. and not for a good reason
@sundaymouse All the dealings I've had with them have been without issue. I'm sure it's still buyer beware, but I'm willing to take a chance on a good deal.

how you optimize routes with 1 carrier (e.g. no alternate routes) is mind blowing. Let us in on the secret! /end sarcasm
Cough they need more money and are going to deadpool cough!
no centos 6?
Better than most who don't have it at all! Although $25/server is pretty steep I guess.
Hey Andrew,
Thanks, its 1 - 2 business days excluding the weekend. Just updated your email with the ETA.
Hardly, direct 10G peering with over 20+ tier 1 and 2 providers on NYIIX will be turned up within the next few weeks.

CentOS 6 is an option on the ordering page.
Hey Jack,
How are things? IPv4 is starting to get pretty low...
http://www.potaroo.net/tools/ipv4/index.html
I'd buy a server if you weren't pure Cogent. http://bgp.he.net/AS46664
so? some provider can offer much cheaper for IP's pretty low in ARIN but plenty on provider
For those of you talking about their response times, take a look at the email thread that @VolumeDrive refereced above with respect to set up times. 2 minutes or so.
ah ok so:
"we have [....] optimized routes"
really means:
"we don't optimize routes, but might do one day if people want to peer with a single location single homed provider (even though most peering agreements require multiple POPs and paid transit upstreams)."
It all makes sense now, it was some sort of satire or parody. Thanks for clearing that all up.
agree with you
they respond time to was also acceptable 30 minutes in WEEKEND
As mentioned, NYIIX turn up is a few weeks away which means direct peering with many providers over one of the Internet's largest peering exchanges.
If you are looking for discounted IPs, contact us and we'll see what we can do. [email protected]
You'd better next time take a look at your own problems and not others.
Don't mind me, just pointing out false advertising.
Logically, if they have only 1 carrier all their traffic goes thru the best carrier they have. /s
It also goes through the worst carrier they have...
Don't bother, they're dodging all your questions.
