[raymii.org] major graphic update
Just deployed a new version of https://raymii.org, with a major graphic overhaul.
New features/bugfixes:
- content is full height, full width header is gone
- featured item blocks gone
- categories gone
- menu only contains most popular tags plus all items
- more clean layout, less colour
- better responsiveness, menu now gone on mobile
This is how it looked:
This is how it now (should) look:
( the black bar is because I suck at taking screenshots )
See for yourself: https://raymii.org
I'd like feedback from LET. Even if it is negatieve, I want it all!
Also would like to thank my former co-worker Job van der Voort for the awesome help with the design.

I like it, a big plus for the simplicity.
And it is responsive.
That's damn nice! Maybe a bit "too pale" fonts for my eyes but still damn nice.
Fonts are unreadable on Chrome/Win7
I just cant read pale green on white fonts dont load properly in chrome either which makes it harder
The color contrast is a problem, and on a 1920px wide monitor the menu is way too wide. Other than that, it's nice
Soo freaking nice. I love how simple it is.
Apart from the font on Win 7/Chrome (as said) it looks quite nice.

I've noticed that. My main rig is a 12.5" lenovo x240 so there it's quote narrow.
Does anybody have a solution for the fscking chrome Windows font issue? I never use Windows, however I do hear that issue a lot. On IE/FF and on mac /linux it just looks fine...
Same thing as joepie91, and in Opera the fonts looks horrible (worse than Chrome).
i dont really like white backgrounds, it burns out my eyes with this LED monitor.
Nothing wrong in FF tough.

this
I've just deployed a fix that would solve that. Stupid windows. Not a single windows machine at home or work, so hopefully you guys will be so kind to test it again for me. And please, with screenshots.
The menu is now max 220px. Should also look better on large screens...
It is better.. but still not as it should be. (Left is FireFox right is Chrome)

Thanks for the screenshot. This is what I've tried: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10953037/google-webfonts-render-choppy-in-chrome-on-windows - however, it seems to not work... Anybody else got more ideas?
Here's a Chrome screencap:

@Raymii
Change the font-size to 15px. Displays correctly for me then
font-size of what? entire website?
Opera 12.16
FireFox 26.0
Chrome 32.0.1700.102
IE 11.0.2
Basically yes. Everything that is 14px looks weird. 13 and 15px are fine sizes.
You can start with .nav-stacked { and body {
Isn't this just a font smoothing issue?
Have to agree with this, very nice and simple and a good way of making decent responsive websites.
I really like how IE just fails to render one custom font... (header text is Raleway, rest should be Open Sans or Calibri).
Seems to be. @DarioX Changed the font size to 15px. Why does only windows have this issue?
Also added a simple logo.
@Raymii Looks good now for the body. You should change .nav-stacked also.
FYI 12px, 14px, 16px all have this problem. Not sure what is causing it, might be a compatibility issue with the browser.
The weerstand?
Yes, the resistor
Sorry, sometimes I mixed up with the English and Dutch terms for certain items.
