They seem OK, but do they accept clients outside Germany? They seem to not have English on the website. I happen to speak German, but can't shop from them if they don't sell outside. And as far as I know, 1und1 doesn't. (?)
IWStack obviously
You can test Jiffybox for free for 24h. You just need to submit your E-Mail-Address and a (German) Mobile-Number. If you don't have the latter, you can get a virtual German Mobile-Number for free at 4sim.de.
1&1 wants you to provide a German or Austrian address. But I doubt that they'll send you the account-credentials via snail-mail. Since you also need to provide a Email-Address and a Phone-Number (see above), it seems to be the same process as above.
@skagerrak
I can't risk being dumped by the ISP for giving out falsified address etc, as the service will be used for an important project. I really don't understand why many German providers would do such things...
Thanks anyway
That's a good reason. I wouldn't risk it then, too.
TBH, Idk. I guess they're afraid of non-German support-queries or payment-problems.
How about the following?

iwstack, cloudsigma, elastichosts, gogrid
That is far from complete :P
iwstack - I'm currently moving a big ecommerce website there from rackspace - a fraction of the price and better performance.
