Any interest in a VPS auction?
Does anyone have an interest in an auction for an openvz vps with:
- 6 GB of Guaranteed RAM
- 8 GB of Burstable RAM
- 250 GB of Disk Space
- 25 Mbps Unmetered (~7.5TB) on 100 Mbps line.
- 5 IP Addresses
User would have the option to receive a reseller to make their own custom sized VPS. Winner would get the price they won at for 6 months minimum... Node would probably be in Kansas.

soo...how does this work
I'd open a thread in the "offers" section and let people bid for 48 hours. Winner with the highest bid would get it. Wanted to get feedback before I start the auction.
I'm in
SolusVM, right? Winner can also order extra IPs too?
It'd be hyperVM, but yes the winner could add extra IPs.
Let's keep it a lowendauction too guys :P
I see. Well then, looking forward into the auction.
What happens to the price in 6 months?
No more than $7? otherwise its defeating the point in the low-end part. If it aint lowend go post on WHT.
But then someone would start off with 7 and end it
Yep.
I think its a bad idea, we should have be able to get the same box.
Since it has reseller abilities, that would be $7*5 as the limit since it includes 5 IP's, it is 5 VPS
Then just bid $35.
Then just win, but I doubt anyone is going to pay $35 for 8gb of ram on OpenVZ
I will delete such a thread from provider as an invalid offer. Please, post all offers >7$ on WHT.
That's why I asked before I posted. It isn't going on WHT they don't like me there so I'll just hang on to the space.
@BlueVM Offering reseller packages without an auction still an option, yes?
Bidding starts at $0.01. Bidders cannot increase the previous bid by more than $0.01 Winner is either (a) the highest bid or (2) the person who bids $7.00
Can I bid against myself?
Dunno
I agree, I think offers should stay around $7 here. I am interested in some sort of platform/website for auctioning VPS though - I would be in for bidding and selling. Anyone know of any?
ebay. Bot nobody in their right mind would sell VPS on ebay.
Okay Mr. Moderator, we understand, no fun allowed here!

"You don't get to know what you're buying, just buy it and don't worry about it. Oh, and 3 months later, the price goes up at least 2000%"
Nice... "jaystorage.com" doesn't even load for me. Not a good sign
$20 for 150MB ram, CPU/HD poirity is 1. HEH > http://eboundhost.com/hosting/vps/
Like omg
Interesting idea. I know that on WHT I've seen a few companies offering a VPS as an auction with people posting their bid amounts. Not sure how it would work here considering this community is focused on the low end market, and those specs are not really low end.
OMFG! Preparing for the freaking spam....
How about this
