Dedicated Servers Needed - Xeon and Up
Hi, I am in need for a lot of dedicated servers to run my application. I am looking for a minimum Xeon E3-1230v2. Disk doesn't matter. Memory I need to have the following: for 8 threads I need minimum of 12GB Memory, for 16 Threads I need 20GB for 24 Threads I need 32 GB.
Location doesn't matter as well.
I know I can pay for E3-1230v2 below 50$ a month. I am willing to try a better server (I need 1 hour on the server with Centos 6.3 or 6.4 64 bit installed) but I will only know if it's worth more to me after I do.
Please send it your offers. I will be able to rent 50-100 servers for the right price.
Thanks, Sand

Is your application cryptocoin mining?
No, Why does it matter?
care to share what kind of application you would host with these dedicated servers?
You know hyper-threading is almost useless right?
No, you don't.
Stop talking shit, one hyperthread is about as powerful as half a core...
Oh and @serverian might be able to help you.
Maybe a bit more, depends if the other thread is being used at 100%. Both threads can use 100% of the core, but obviously not at the same time. I think HT gives a performance boost to of 10-30%. So you'll probably get performance which is > half a core.

It's been pointed out over and over that HT decreases performance most of the time when you're running on 2 cores or less.
Oh and:
Hyperthreading hurts server performance, say developers
