How to do like this? (LET wiki track page)
Hi,
I want to track hosting providers like this: http://www.lowendtalk.com/wiki/chicagovps.net
How can i do it? Is it custom code or it's supported by dokuwiki?
Many thanks!
Comments
Dokuwiki supports raw PHP. That's either custom code, or static text.
I do wonder how accurate the system is. For example, the one for us ( http://www.lowendtalk.com/wiki/ipxcore.com ) claims "Down" for a couple of days this month, and I have no data that agrees with that...
Afaik the tracker is down currently, or something got bugged.
And is a custom code by LEA

Python stuff
@Damian The up/down messages from around 8th this month are probably related to the DDoS attacks and the nullroute of the IP by Linode, etc. So maybe the database (or rather - text files) should be cleaned a little to remove these false positives.
Not sure who has the access to do this though. @Aldryic ? @Kujoe ? @Chief ?
I'm not a part of the staff. Just have a big mouth :P @Kujoe or @Chief would be who you need.
I don't have access to the backend stuff yet.
Then we should all sit back, relax, and wait until @Chief returns and has some free time
And while on the topic of bugs, there is one more thing: on LEB's main page on the right there is a section for "LowEndTalk Discussions" - it seems to have frozen im time (at March 7th).
I think that's when the DDoS->host move happened, isn't it? Probably just something not set up yet...
@Damian exactly.
Any other way to track hosting provider website?
I am pretty sure that what we are seeing is the script that LEA used to run to check all of the providers. He tried to make it publicly view-able there. I have no idea how he did it though.
I guess you could set up something on uptimerobot to track them for you?
