Where do you want your next LEB VPS to be at?
Hello,
We've only recently launched SturdyVPS however we want to add more locations and add more plans.
Currently we offer OpenVZ LEB Packages in Phoenix, USA and in Capelle a/d IJssel, Netherlands.
I have two questions that i need feedback on:
(1) What other Virtualization Platforms would you like to see at SturdyVPS?
(a) XEN
(b) KVM-based
(c) Windows (using Virtuozzo)
(d) Other
(2) What additional locations would you like to see SturdyVPS at?
(a) UK @ RedStation
(b) Stockholm, Sweden @ NetRouting
(c) Miami, USA @ NetRouting
(d) Amsterdam, Netherlands @ NetRouting
(e) New Jersey, USA @ ReliableSite
(f) Washington, USA @ Sentris
(g) Other
(h) Estonia @ Torqhost
Your feedback will help me prioritize.

How about Jacksonville, FL with Gorack? Texas, US with SoftLayer (if this is possible hence their high prices), and SingleHop in Chicago, IL?
1) a
2) g - Somewhere middle US.
@Jeffrey : SoftLayer is a bit too expensive, for the same specs that i have at Phoenix they gave me a price of $2077/month. SingleHop is also double the price i'm looking at. GoRack could be a posibility, it'll need some research.
1) d - OpenVZ
2) if these are my choices, then E or F. I can pick up a VPS in the UK, Sweden, Miami, or The Netherlands anyway.
Sweden would be nice, i don't think we have any LEB hosters there.
h) finland :P - or closest to that (b) Stockholm, Sweden @ NetRouting. Everything else is that or another way available most of the time.
@gsrdgrdghd: oderland (small, stable and relatively cheap yearly plan on their own ASN/IP block)
1) a
2) b -> Sweden would be awesome. It's actually an noland for lowendvps
But please, no overselling There are already too much providers who are doing that
@Amfy No overselling/oversubscribing - here is review with several tests, i want similar and better results in all of the SturdyVPS servers: http://www.lowendcube.com/sturdyvps-2-95month-128mb-ram-openvz-vps.html
@Naruto Is Chicago and Dallas in Central US? (probably a basic question however i'm in the UK)
Yeah. Kansas, Oklahoma, etc.
1) b
2)b
Pretty good options
@Spirit Finland? I think that will be quite a task to locate a provider there. I actually did a quick search at WHT to see if there are any there but it didn't find anything.
Guys what about Estonia?
Hehe, these guys are populating the most odd locations XD
@Spirit , i'm taking that back for Finland - i just found a provider there: http://creanova.org/dedicated-servers.html
Good price n_n But, I don't get it.. is Xen or Vmware?
PS: Sorry, we are going very offtopic xD
Xen or KVM
and SWEDEN!
@sturdyvps torqhost.com? :P There you get cheap / free ip addresses
Centos - NJ/NY or Wash DC
(1) Xen
(2) Asia, please. xD
What: OpenVZ. KVM is OK, but I don't like Xen-PV
Where: UK @ RedStation
If any of you would ship servers to Italy I would be very happy to arrange you in one of our rack :-)
at present not so much, 2/3 of our income came from managed services, housing and consulting we do for a few solid corporations. On the hosting side (which include also virtualization) we works mainly with foreign clients....
But I should say we are lucky...
@prometeus : I've sent you a message
@DotVPS :Yes we have the standard disks currently.
@Amfy Thanks for that website, they offer quite good dedicated servers.
Sweden seems a winner of this thread.
Exactly
Many people aren't much familiar with this location but I would put it actually right after Finland on my "most wanted" list. Modern internet infrastructure with fibre spreaded all over country.
You should keep offsite backups anyway, regardless of the disks used, regardless of the RAID technology and regardless of who the provider is.
I'd like to see some windows available in the UK or Europe.
I would really like to have vps from Finland but I am afraid that this will need to wait. And I am not sure if you would like to be hosted here either. Only one network provider and even this one don't peer directly with any finnish provider.
Location is interesting, single homed network without local peers isn't. That's the price catch here.
