Leaseweb 1GB KVM VPS in Virginia with 40GB disk for $7/mo
Looked at the Leaseweb website, and found this
http://www.leaseweb.com/en/cloud-hosting/virtual-server/configurator/6953
Virtual CPU: 1 Core :: SAN Storage: 40GB :: Virtual RAM: 1GB :: Datacenter: United States (I think it's in Virginia) :: Traffic: 500GB/month :: Price: $7 USD per month
It is KVM, according to http://www.leaseweb.com/en/cloud-hosting/virtual-server
This is double the RAM for the same price that was offered in the LowEndBox deal back in March of this year

Looks like a very good deal to me. I have no affiliation with Leaseweb in any way. Just thought I'd share.

Looks like a run of the mill LEB offer to me.
True, but from a large provider, with their own datacenter, and has been in business for over 15 years. Not a one-man-show like I see a lot of here.
It's actually 7 euros, which is $9.50
Click datacenter "United States." It comes up for me as $7 USD. Click European datacenters, price goes up to 7 EUR.
They already post an ad at LEB before. Nothing new.
Ah, my eyes not see that. Actually i already checking leaseweb website two weeks ago, but i didn't noticed the ram already doubled. I thought 1gb is normal.
I'd take it if only they had more data transfer
Yeah, from all of their offer, they only give 500GB bandwidth.
Don't forget the part where they charge $1/GB for overage.
IIRC operating system reinstall also through ticket.
Really? That's quite expensive
According to "Robert van der Meulen" from Leaseweb, overages are billed at $0.10 per GB or upgrade to 500GB more per month for $5, as posted here: http://lowendbox.com/blog/leaseweb-7-512mb-kvm-in-manassas-virginia-e29-dedicated-server-in-netherlands/#comment-102701
Pretty sure it used to be $1/GB at some point. Some people racked up charges of $370, which led into messed up customer relations and hence, they changed it.
My company has a dedicated server at Leaseweb in Netherlands. Logged in to the Leaseweb panel and viewed the details of the server, and it does show that any overages would be billed at 0.10 per GB, so I think they changed all overages to that rate. I also see a usage warning option, to sign up for an email alert when the server's monthly bandwidth nears its allowance, to avoid any surprises.
