Likely that's due to...
@brueggus Did you get that via email? I never got any emails about this... Checked my spam folder too.
Edit: My VPS is not in that subnet which is probably why I didn't get that email? Mine is in
188.213.49.0/24
Not like I have any critical service hosted there, but the notice was really short.
Down for me too , same subnet and no email
It is 10G now (Bucharest, Romania / RO)
Yes i got the email.
I cannot reach to client area.
My Oradea location VPS is fine.
But Bucharest one is down. No email received or in that subnet.
My VPS in Bucharest went down about half an hour ago, too. 🤷♂️
I got the e-mail anyway even though my service is in a different subnet 193.148.70.0/24.
I therefore assumed it would affect me even if so, and wasn't disappointed, currently down.
Was down for the last few days, not just 8 hours.
Mine only went down around 10 minutes before I posted this post. It's still down now
Yep, they sent an email. On somewhat short notice though.
But frankly, if their network gets significantly better I won't complain.
I still haven't received any emails from them, and my VPS has been down for over ten hours now.
There's nothing in the "latest news" section in their client area either (last update was in February)
I just looked for you. The message was sent Apr. 14 at 13:36:27 + 2:00 from '[email protected]'.
HTH
Relax, cocio eventually sort this out. You can re-download those ISO's later.
Yes still down for me too
My VM with them is also offline (188.240.208.XXX), and I not received email about maintenance. Client area still 'CloudFlare Error 524'.
This is probably just caused by a quarrel between the perfumed sisters.
15 hours and down is going strong. Even client area of HS is down (time out). Anyone wanna bet how long will this last?
no one managed to tag @cociu yet? how disappointing... I demand more drama!
Maybe sisters became too HOT after the OVH!
Everytime I give hostsolutions the benefit of the doubt and everytime they fail (yes it is my own fault).
Any time/date quoted should be ignored.
There will always be 'drama'.
Things will always get better.
And don't get me stated on stupid sisters.
The email sent gave 5 hours notice and specified an IP range of 'IP subnet is 192.148.68/22' as mine is 193.148.69.xxx I can't be effected - wrong. FFS I can accept 'broken' English but getting the IPs wrong just shows no attention to detail.
Yes I am sure there will be the offer of a refund but read the other threads and people are complaining of the delays associated with this.
I genuinely beleive @cociu tries his best but really hostsolutions should not be considered for anything apart from 'play'. Deals are great but if you can't rely on ANYTHING then what is the point all you are doing is just creating more work and stress for yourself.
@Falzo was that drama enough?
But why you use Cociu servers? Because of Prices? Because of DMCA? If is because of DMCA you have several, I repeat SEVERAL Hostings providers with similar price...
Here is some "cheap" providers that can replace.
Hostslick.com
Alexhost.com
sibyl.li
2x4.ru
webcare360
vsys.host
[...]
And the list continues... Just an idea.
More than 5 hours of downtime, is not good. Also if you pay attention every single client complaints about Cociu, or is downtime or network issues, disks etc.
Cociu is not the masterpiece in "DMCA Ignored"... You have a good and really reliable alternatives for the same price, ohh is because some of them are +1$ more expensive than HostSolutions?
try harder. you're lacking entitlement and have to be much more demanding.
and there was no mention of 'chargeback' anywhere...
still disappointed.
It might be silly to ask you big list but can you still provide few, like good stable 10-15 ones. The problem is most of them (including) are not aware of DMCA ignored vps providers, can you please help to get list through
VPSs are up
Yes. Low end is all about the price. How cheap and how good can you get for those peanuts. I have 500 GB of storage for 3.99 EUR / quarter. I can wait 5 days of downtime without significant impact. But for the drama I complain right after 2 minutes of downtime. This is lowend world.
Two of you, keep calm and make a disaster recovery plan.
I have a premium provider.
After the server was down for one hour, I started disaster recovery plan.
I posted drama outage thread after two hours, and I've finished disaster recovery plan by then.
That thread was created for transparency, and to give the provider a chance to explain what happened, since they wouldn't be able to comment on my blog.
For lower tier providers like HostSolutions, give it 6~8 hours.
what's new ?
