There's no such thing as a transfer fee for servers at netcup.
Just generate a code through their "Inhaberwechsel" function and you'll be fine.
Or do they show you a fee, when you try to do so?
So maybe there is no netcup fee. I need to check it.
If anyone is interested to get a RS server please PM me.
If it was monthly billing I would be jumpin' on it.. but 6 months is no go for me.
Contact is for 12months, but Netcup charges every half year.
I can confirm that there is no transfer fee from Netcup.
Wont you receive refund if you decide to cancel it?
I don't think that word is in Netcup's vocabulary.
But seriously, no, there would be no way to get a refund for this unless Netcup decides that, for some reason, they can no longer provide the server. And that won't happen.
Edit: Sorry, if you mean a refund in the first 14 days to the original buyer, then I'm sure that would be possible. But the person to whom the contract is transferred wouldn't be able to cancel for a refund.
Huh? Well I can only speak from experience, but I received a refund from them after I requested it on the last possible day and that was even a Sunday. I don't know what it's called, but this was/is(?) only available for the root server lineup, not the vps.
Maybe there is no such thing for the "Adventskalender" tho
There was only 14days to get a refund.
The RS Fairy Lights was a special offer in our advent calendar. It is not a reseller tariff and the satisfaction guarantee does not apply here.
Your sense of humor must not be working.
But you know exactly what I mean. There have been hundreds of posts and countless debates here regarding netcup chasing after clients who want to end their contract earlier than allowed. They have notoriously long contract times and would be the very last provider who would willingly end a contract early simply upon request of the customer. They will stick to the terms of the deal to the bitter end, as everybody knows.
Sorry for derailing this thread.
Well, to be fair, netcup actually offers 1(/3/6 afaik)/12 month contracts (especially on their eu site, the 1 month contracts are the norm there). Sure, the shorter contracts are more expensive, but that's the reason behind it.
Not taking any side here, but a clearly formed contract is definitely a very professional approach for both parties. However, netcup could potentially show some goodwill to their customer and make some exceptions. But it's probably easier and more profitable for them not to do so. And this is fine imho. Not ever provider needs to be nice, but clear in their actions.
Well, apparently not everybody knows. But those who don't know and complain later on apparently haven't read anything.
Yes, I am aware of some cases even including some debt collectors (iirc), but that's imo not a problem of netcup, but rather the customer. I you are unwilling to follow the contract (which you supposedly have read and agreed to), I can only wish good luck.
To add some information:
Netcup does indeed offer a 30 day satisfaction guarantee for their normal root server offers. The 14 days returning period is probably offered due to a law I believe.
SOLD.
