LACNIC confiscates DDOS-Guard's IP space.
https://krebsonsecurity.com/2021/01/ddos-guard-to-forfeit-internet-space-occupied-by-parler/
They are notorious for protecting Parler, but they have little to do with this. DDOS-Guard acquired Latin American IP through a Belize shell company, and LACNIC considered it as abuse.
Looking at this, I have a question. Just like DDOS-Guard, I've often seen buying IPs through RIRs that are different from the company's jurisdiction. For example, Flokinet and Novogara are European hosting provider, but they have a legal entity registered in Seychelles. And both registered the IP space through ripe.
When using an offshore company, is the RIR based on the jurisdiction of the legal entity or the actual physical location?

8192 IPs is nothing in compare what AFRINIC done. They revoked /14 from shady marketing firm https://pastebin.com/raw/BUvY003C
As for DDoS-Guard, their CEO has legit presence in Belize, not just shell company. The move from LACNIC is heavily influenced politically. And this is VERY scary.
This is great, finally, I get nonstop bruteforce, http flood, attacks from this guy, telling people to continue to hijack stolen IP space, don't care who he sell to as long as he profits off stolen assets

Once the big dogs are done killing some prey (Parler) the small creatures crawl out from the soil to feast on the remains ...
I'm not surprised to see that from "security expert" (hahahaha) krebs.
Fucking cringe
Why LACNIC should care about politics of the US?
You do favor for me and I do favor for you. You know this game.
I haven't read the TOS at LACNIC, AFRINIC, etc, but is it usually a requirement that you must be present in the region and not just incorporated?
