@shahriar
I would say USA St. Louis. I have a server in EU Nuremburg and @dedipromo has one in USA St. Louis.
If you give me your endpoint IP, I can do a ping and traceroute for you.
What do you mean by endpoint ip?
My ip: 103.146.54.130
I am from Asia. I can provide you MTR. Depends on your usecase, I think their german DCs have more bandwidth power but never use contabo for example on game servers. You will go down easily, you can host websites thru cloudflare tho. *just sayin
USA St. Louis
EU Munich
EU Nuremberg
Ciao!
They really are good on development servers worth the price either US or EU.
Never tried Contabo. Don't know them. I hear lots of good things about it though
Even though the DC looks like a slaughterhouse with cooling lol
(I live near Nuremberg., driving Arround there before)
I was happy with @contabo_m poke
No idea about best location for Asia though.
Never thought of our Nbg DC in that way
German machinery manufacturing ranks first in the world. In other respects, data centers and Internet services are also global. Hetzner and contabo are a typical example.
I'm on a Thai island,
Upon cancellation of my VPS they blocked my account; there was still some credit on it. A miserable and ridiculous ending.
What can you expect from such cheap servers...
I am not sure wether it is real or not. I have lot's of doubts about it. I have heard also good things about the provider but it just seems unreal for me.
It says 2CPU Cores but what is their speed? 1Ghz? Equally 4 GB of RAM might seem like a lot but what is the speed of the slots? Are they ECC or DDR? What versions?
I don't doubt they might be a good provider , it just seems unreal to me and the math does not make sense. A 20 Core and 40 GB of ram server (supposing their cheapest plan) would make up to a 20 core CPU for 39€ a month ?
I have no experience with them and I do not want to appear as giving a bad opinion but I am just skeptical of how that can be a good service.
Welcome back! Glad you are still around
did you mean East Asia ?
I absolutely hate businesses that do this. Had it happen to me when I didn't even do anything wrong. My university project came to an end XD
