Worldstream,serverius and yisp in trouble
They got slaped hard by copyright moguls https://torrentfreak.com/mpa-and-brein-sue-hosting-providers-over-pirate-streaming-service-200416/ and became a high risk hosting solution for average joe. Be aware.

BREIN sends people anywhere in the world to investigate copyright, kind of surprising, Russia, Ukraine, how about Iran?
They will be molested by the copyright cartel. A warn sign for 'dmca safe' hosts here. Hosting copyright stuff is very risky. @cociu
Their guts are to loose for Iran
If they show up at his door he'll just say: "Not interested"
Fixed it for you
Reading the article, and googling a bit, i do not see a exactly how the providers did not comply with what they where ordered to do.
as far as i can tell they where told to
i don't see where they where compelled to share that information with those groups that would like to access it.
but then again my dutch+translation using public sources stuff isnt that good.
This is true. They didn't provide BREIN/MPAA with customer data however, but as these are private organisations they aren't obliged to do this. This is why BREIN goes to court. In The Netherlands, providers only have to give up customer data when there's an official investigation or a court order.
They'll likely give more away when the courts will have ruled that they have to do so. That makes sense and that's rather reassuring: if anyone can have your private info by just asking the provider that would be abuse prone and a pain for the providers.
Not to mention illegal under GDPR, unless the article is misrepresenting.
Old news. WorldStream was already in bed with BREIN.
Read https://torrentfreak.com/brein-seizes-warez-servers-owners-seize-them-back-may-sue-110222/ and https://torrentfreak.com/anti-pirates-stole-kit-hijacked-email-110226/
TL;DR:
Hosting company (WorldStream) gives away dedicated servers which are leased by its customers (Alejandra Transporte SA) to a private organisation (BREIN).
Seems like a pretty serious situation here. Ouch.
Wow. This is a disaster. Providers should be trained what info they can (and should) give out and what they can't disclose under any circumstances. Let alone give their hardware or hardware belonging to their customers to some private company!
Edit: This reply was misinformed, removed.
I forgot this gem yesterday:
Unfortunately some swedish hosters (Itstaden/ServerConnect) also committed this action: https://torrentfreak.com/ifpi-seizes-control-of-limetorrents-hard-drives-110429/
The amusing thing is that the hosters were promised that they'll get their servers back, but it didn't happen.
The copyright cartel will promise heaven and earth if this will fill their bottomless pockets. Nothing new.
Moonwalk owners made accounts for fake scans in the CIS ^_^
The FBI recently arrested the owner of deer.io. If he did not go to the USA, but would sit in Russia, he would not have anything. All the mistake of the owners of such different resources here is that they are leaving Russia, Ukraine and other countries. Although they made money for themselves several lives in advance.
