Need Help Managing Servers
I use Cockpit to view/ manage my CentOS machines... It still needs some manual intervention, but, does OK for now.
I need to help manage a couple of servers running Win Server 2016/ Win Server 2019.
They are all standalone. Not a part of any domain/ AD.
I am trying to see if there is a simple solution which exists that can allow me to keep the systems up-to-date and manage them...
so, for these few odd machines running windows, what are some suggestions? Cheaper the better if I need to pay.
Thnx

@plumberg Are you looking for someone to manage these servers for you? or are you looking for a service which you can use to remotely manage them yourself?
What do you need exactly?
I believe it's the latter:
@plumberg you can automate administrative tasks using PowerShell scripts organized into runbooks - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/system-center/sma/authoring-automation-runbooks?view=sc-sma-2019

A service to manage servers remotely
i know whom I need to reach if I am in deep s*it @MikePT
Thanks. will check
I use https://one.comodo.com/ sometimes when things go to shit and RDP stops working. As I can mostly still login via the RMM. If that all fails, IPMI via the server itself.
Definitely :P.
Is there a real need to have Windows servers instead of Linux? Are you running any Exchange services, etc?
TBH, I am using one box as purely RDP. Another one for Sqlserver DB. And another one is just idling/ testing. Remaining are running centos already.. so, its just something I am exploring...
At this point, mainly to ensure that system is having latest updates and if possible be able to install apps on multiple servers together. Nothing fancy. Thnx.
Do you have any suggestions for any tools which can centrally manage both windows/ linux servers?
i use Remote Desktop Connection Manager 2.7 , simple for me .
Hmm, ok, you wan't something GUI...
Well, take a look at the FOG Project. They have a community-developed PowerShell API module that you can use to develop your own complex scripting.
We do not know what service do you want to manage...
Basic server admin. Nothing fancy

Keep it under a bridge.
