Hi Folks,
What is going on with the post formatting here recently, someone needs to fix this asap.
line 1
line 2
line 3
I think it is safe to assume the above willl all display on the same line when I hit 'Post Discussion' instead of the 3 separate lines typed.
@Liam ?
Comments
^^ yup
I can fix it.
Hit enter twice. Or use < br> tags.. It's annoying though.
line1
line2
line3
just place 2 spaces before the newline
Same problem here, nice initiative.
Hope others too face this kind of problem..
But before someone else say, There is always an edit button, which we don't care for.
Certainly bad setup for Providers..
@Bogdacutuu
Nice
Suggestion
I
know
how
to
work
around
it
but as it is clearly not right I thought I would
because it is
annoying
I believe it's intentional; that's how Markdown works. Use
<br>
tags for line breaks if you must.With markdown hou can also put
2 spaces
Before you push
Enter and it will
Do a single line break.
Just like I did
In this post.
On a side-note though, Markdown was never intended to be used by endusers in forums. It was intended to be used by writers for converting their x-pages-long text into valid XHTML but still keep the original document read- and editable for their own purpose. That's why it's a farce using Markdown in a forum like this.
I know why it is happening thanks, I know how to work around it, this is not how it used to be and not how forums in general work.
I agree. It is annoying, jbiloh said a couple of weeks before he is looking into it.
Ah ok, cheers Mao
