MisterHost's official statement regarding pricing changes
Just received an E-Mail from them:
Dear clients.
As you might have already heard from other providers or in the news that cPanel is changing the way they sell their license, and increasing the price significantly. We will like to inform you that Misterhost.NET will keep the corrent pricing and NO change or additional costs will be added on our plans.
Happy Unlimited Hosting.
Misterhost.NET Sales Team
Seems like they stand by what they said a couple days ago on LET. Solid statement. Maybe I shouldn't have cancelled.
Kudos to @ZotiMediaGroup

Deleted, staff member cleaned up the story.
It's not an evasion if they have been officially unbanned.

Whatever their practices have been, I, as an enduser could never find anything to complain about. I was always receiving a stable service (in terms of performance, support and pricing). I changed to HostMantis a while back due to some different requirements like more I/O, backups, etc.
There is absolutely no way that pricing works no matter what they say, they can only be relying on clients not creating users.
No, we will keep all of them. We have a increase of ~$200 per server so is not enough to make changes.
Time will tell I can understand anyone that (due to events of the past or other negative feedback) does not want to order from MisterHost.
You keep corrent or current? Which one is correct for being one of the those 30.000 clients?
As I said, you are relying on users not creating accounts in the future on those master whatever resellers. It may only be $200 now but that could change in a heartbeat.
Anyway, I have my told you so ready.
Will update this thread in 3 years
Unless you get banned again.
I actually unbanned them.
They did shady shit with regards to double accounts. They were evasive about it. They got caught and banned.
They did not try to ban-evade, and did not try to appeal the ban for about a year. After the year, they appealed with an apology and a promise of "not doing it again". The appeal got accepted and here we are.
Once you do it, you can never go back
Be positive, lesson have been learned.
That's life for you. We all f**ked up at some point, haven't we? I got myself stupidly banned from ordering services by @Francisco years back due to ordering via a VPN I believe and then creating a double acc and try again.. fun times.. Learning from it is what is important. And facing the future. Looking back is nice but remember, you are not going that direction.
If @ZotiMediaGroup actually has 3 year licenses for cPanel- they probably are ok with keeping pricing static. If they have 1 year licenses, they can hold things static as long as they keep forecasting cost exposure that will occur after July 21, 2020. So if their clients aren't making a crazy number of account they are ok, or if they see things tilting negative- they are ok if they put a stop to new accounts. So if they have one year licenses they are ok with anything created up to July 20, 2019 but are taking a gamble on any resellers after that.
This^. We don't know the details and it is MisterHost alone that has the best grasp of what their customers tend to do / are like. If they tend to be light-weigth, non-abusive users, it's reasonable.
Wait until every affiliate spam site catches word.
You'll either apply per reseller limits or charge.
Good luck.
Francisco
Or maybe they will just load up on accounts and switch everyone to DA and say we never contractually promised cpanel for ever
Thank you. Good luck to you also.
That wont be a big problem, we may offer a VPS in such massive account users, there is always a solution.
Only if cPanel increases to $0.5 per account. In this case will develop by own panel.
Lol
I wish I had a list of the many resellers claiming they are going to write their own panel. It would be a small army by now
It's literally the Solus hacks all over again.
The only one to man up in the end was @KuJoe.
Francisco
Dragons are beasts afterall. If they don't man up, who will? Well, ponys might too..
The only one? Is Stallion a control panel or your pseudonym in the porn industry?
Well, their pricing isn't too smart. Obviously something will have to change.
nobody see the good point here. The host is assume the contracts, more is not speculate the price in case hi have long term cpanel license prepayed. , any way welcome back MisterHost
Stallion was already in production by the time the Solus shit happened.
