Hi,
Do you mean that you need "Running several name-based web sites on a single IP address" - https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/vhosts/examples.html
Or "How to Change Hostname on Ubuntu 18.04" - https://linuxize.com/post/how-to-change-hostname-on-ubuntu-18-04/
Inside bind example.com zone file:
I think the first is install bind right? ... Im not familiar with this
Just use cloudflare to host your domain
Use a DNS provider instead
If you don't know how to manage a DNS server like bind or powers a its easy and better to use 3rd party dns provider, there is many providers with such feature for free cloud flare is good and also is a ddos protection.
Use a third Party DNS and create an A record to your dedicated server IP.
As it's frankly easier to just do it than to properly explain it to a newbie, just contact me by PM and I'll provide you with DNS for free for a year, so that you have plenty time to learn.
Note, however, that my 5 or so name servers are in Europe, so my offer might be considerably less attractive if you happen to be e.g. in Asia.
1) Go to the company you bought your domain from.
2) Log into the control panel.
3) Find your IP address for your Ubuntu 18.04 server.
4) Set an A record pointing at your 180.04 servers address. Make this A record something like www... if you want to be able to go to www.yourdomain.com.
5) Apply these settings, and now your sub domain (www) should be pointed at your server.
6) If you want to host a web server, or game server, you will then need to install those at that address... and you can then get to them by going to your address you set in step 4, with the correct port and protocol. Like 443 for https.
7) You should probably read up a couple guides on what you are doing, as you are likely going to make a lot of mistakes and make a mess for yourself. Try something like library.linode.com or https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials
