Hello,
i'm looking for a VPS 16 cores minimum, do you know servers at interesting prices?
thx a lot
Comments
no
What's the use case?
mining
Go dedicated then.
You would think that providers would be mining on their hypervisors rather than selling craptastic VPSes if it really was that profitable...
You must be new
thank,
on this site exemple : https://www.vpsnet.com/en/services/vps
what does mean 3 x 3 GHz vCPUs
is it equal to 9 core or 3 core ?
Three "cores" (threads? shared.) at 3GHz.
is not for mining it's personal
Damn unluky
Illusion 100.
Well if it's personal ...
then you'll be wanting to run it on your very own Personal Computer.
no problems i just wanted ask help no personal stuff,
thank's have nice day
Well if it isn’t personal ...
then you’ll be wanting CPU’s with a lot of L3 cache.
It's not personal, Sonny. It's strictly business.
Get a daddy.
Let him spank you when your VPS is being bad, boomer groomer.
Get a CC daddy, he'll hook you up with all the cores you need, 3 year term 😂
@brusshless okay, nothing personal, no problem lol
you might try kimsufi, ikoula, hetzner auction, or nocix for low-price dedis
but I don't think you'll find any profit for your effort (otherwise it would already be in use, and not offered for sale to you.)
Some (maybe most) service providers do not want to deal with miners at all (because they run up power bills, run down their hardware, can't pay their bills, are likely to be fraud / chargeback, and are generally clueless.)
So you'll have that going for you.
Really better to use your own equipment for mining.
You'll have a better chance to make something out of it without stepping on any toes.
And you can sell your equipment to recoup some of your investment once you realize it's not going to make anything worth your trouble.
EDIT2:
good luck with your shitcoin
Forgot to mention CPU is not efficient for mining. Better try GPU.
I recommend dickcoin for maximum profit.
it only grows so long tho
with buttcoin the pummeling is endless
The buttcoin algorithm could have a backdoor though...
I thought it depends on a trapdoor algorithm?
EDIT2:
@brusshless
it occurs to me that @randvegeta and @cociu may be more sympathetic than most providers as far as mining (on dedicated servers only of course).
So if you really do some research (beyond getting advice from random trolls on LET), and want to do at least a realistic experiment ...
One or the other of these guys may be willing and able to provide reasonably-priced servers for mining (in Lithuania, or Romania) ...
But quite possibly will require significant up-front payment - in crypto currency - anyway.
(I would if I were them. Not just because you seem clueless and sketchy, no offense intended.)
So then you'll be able to do the math a little more easily ...
and (probably) will see what a losing proposition it will be for you.
(All other things being equal, which they usually are. More or less.)
Yes, it depends on a crapdoor algorithm.
Most of webhost won't allow mining , read their terms and condition before you buy . also mining is waste of money , you will spend on server more than the money you earn from mining
something to keep in mind ... (it's like the second law of thermodynamics for cryptocurrency or something)
botnets and scammers will inevitably exert a downward pressure on market price for many of the current crop of shitcoins.
So it's almost always a better deal to buy coins on the market than to mine them yourself.
Unless you're a running a botnet or a scam of some sort ...
Or have access to free hardware and cheap electricity.
Or some absurdly high-investment setup, with custom ASICs etc.
(I'm guessing that last possibility is not your deal though)
Hi
This has 8 cores in standard, but can add 8 more.

And on request you can add more.
