only @Falzo and is authorized to post netcup.
It should be this
https://www.netcup.eu/bestellen/produkt.php?produkt=2104
so:
Contract period: 12 month(s)
Billing period: 6 month(s)
RAM: 8 GB + 4 GB
Prozessorkerne: 2 dediziert
Given that there's a RS 1000 SSD G8 at 07:00 Uhr, I suppose it comes with
Festplatte: 320GB SAS
It should be this
https://www.netcup.eu/bestellen/produkt.php?produkt=2100
Contract period: 1 month(s)
Billing period: 1 month(s)
RAM: 8 GB
Prozessorkerne: 2 dediziert
Possibily limited to
Festplatte: 40GB SSD
3 EUR/Monat discount
Can't find the current offer for a RS 500 G8... nor in their .eu nor in their .de site
EDIT: found this as reference for now (thanks to rsyncs and BBTN)
https://www.netcup.eu/bestellen/produkt.php?produkt=2191
So it should be:
Contract period: 12 month(s)
Billing period: 12 month(s)
RAM: 4 GB
Festplatte: ??? (in the referenced current offer only 240 GB SAS is mentioned)
1 EUR/Monat discount
It should be this
https://www.netcup.eu/bestellen/produkt.php?produkt=2110
Contract period: 12 month(s)
Billing period: 6 month(s)
RAM: 16 GB + 8 GB
Prozessorkerne: 4 dediziert
Festplatte: 60 GB SSD or 480GB SAS
Requesting @Falzo's mark of approval on these
Nicely done @mfs
Thanks!
To wake up at 5 in the morning or not, that's the question ...
Sleep is for the weak
All of the RS deals look good, though I personally prefer SAS over SSD at netcup. Their SSD tends to be a bit on the small side ...
Sleep is good for your skin.
That explains...
And it would have to be before 5, because I should shower, shave, put on my makeup, eat breakfast, and drink a coffee before facing all you guys at 5 for the showdown ...
The belle of the LET ball
I'm not quite sure why, but half an hour ago I could see the RS 500 G8 for 4,99€ here. The title was indeed "RS 500 SSD G8 a1 BF".
I bet it's the link above, but it disappeared.
I guess fruits being welcome is a BF deal.
Maybe it's this one!? - https://www.netcup.eu/bestellen/produkt.php?produkt=2191
It's the correct server but the wrong product. The offer will probably have a different product ID.
meh.
gonna stay with my rs2000 plus, which is like this, but with 600GB SAS instead of 480 & monthly contract.
And we will be Legion!
Still two days left to prepare a PhantomJS script.
@mfs sorry to disappoint but the links won't be the regular ones you picked.
the new order ids start from 2299 and don't contain the description yet, only a price (but at least).
given that we don't know the contract term yet esp. for the VPS and RS you would need to calculate on the options to define which offer matches what price on a 6-month or yearly term etc.
I am to drunk and tired right now to do that, but it's time till friday anyway ;-)
tbh their RS offers I find not balanced for my use cases. too much ram to less ssd, so there is not so much interesting yet. should have gone with the vps 500 plus instead. maybe I'll try to get a small vps200 for idling around as I even can deduct VAT...
other than that probably just wait for the christmas calendar.
PS: too curious...
VPS 500 at 6 o'clock most likely will be 6 month term (6x3,11 = 18,66), link: https://www.netcup-offers.eu/bestellen/produkt.php?produkt=2310
RS 500 SSD at 11 o'clock like @rsyncs already saw, 12 month term (12x4,99 = 59,88), link: https://www.netcup-offers.eu/bestellen/produkt.php?produkt=2309
found nothing to match the 1,79 of the vps 200 though
yea I suppose so, I only tried to find a "reference" link for the upcoming offers in order to better understand what were the specs and the contractual terms. For example, I still can't find the festplatte for the 11 o'clock offer, even if in theory it's a discount for an allegedly already existing product
thanks for the hint
@mfs it's most likely 30GB SSD - reference https://www.netcup-offers.eu/bestellen/produkt.php?produkt=2289
Unfortunately, too much RAM for my use case. Actually, I was hoping for more CPU power like last year's BF offers.
Only reason to change to one of these would be the possibility to cancel it monthly instead of having a 6 or 12-month contract.
Does anyone remember their last year's calendar offers during December? Tried to find it but couldn't.
check their twitter: https://twitter.com/netcup
just scroll down, most of the offers had been announced there, the big BF VPS had a reappearance f.i.
Most offers are out and can be ordered. Just change the last two numbers of the URL till you get the product you want. https://netcup.de/bestellen/produkt.php?produkt=2290
RS 1000 G8 is unfortunately 12 month contract and SSD only.
@rsyncs there are 2 RS 1000 G8 offers. One says SSD and the one with + 50% more RAM doesn't so wondering if this is SAS
Found it https://www.netcup.eu/bestellen/produkt.php?produkt=2303. RS 1000 SAS G8 xRAM €6.99/m but on 12mo contract 6mo billing
interesting though, that they again make the offers available at midnight,,, like last year the stocks on the interesting ones will be gone before the said time is even arrived.
however, finally found the link for the VPS 200 - https://www.netcup-offers.eu/bestellen/produkt.php?produkt=2322
I originally wanted to order the 5.99€/month offer, but 40GB isn't enough for me. Fortunately, the xRAM offer is available with SAS storage.
6 month billing is fine, I ordered one.
@Falzo Did they cancel early orders last year?
Nothing too appealing storagewise compared to BF2017 8core/8G/320GB SAS.
I think the closest was few weeks ago when they offered 4core/8GB/750GB HDD.
Hopefully they have something good in store for the Adventskalender.
I ordered definitely early and had no issues. if I remember right, everything was gone in the morning and they rereleased a few more then instead of cancelling stuff. only people who tried to use coupons on top got their order stuck and eventually cancelled...
