@VMbox
Confusing to say the least as www.alnitech.com was acquired and does not go to the alnitech brand anymore
My PayPal subs were auto cancelled the other day by VMBox as well.
Alnitech goes to QuickPacket? Interesting.
Customers will be in good hands then.
Francisco
Can't tell if sarcasm...
Has been pretty smooth in my experience =]
Not at all
Francisco
So...there are 3 names pops up , anymore to confuse me? lol
@qps
As @Francisco would say, we "Franned" the PayPal settings, but that is fixed now. Sorry for the confusion caused.
We will have a formal announcement soon. Thanks.
Looks like VMHaus ended kinda well.
inception?
Incested?
Incestion.
Green Value Host acquired vmbox. The next in queue is buyvm.
Best thing that could happen. Everyone will be better off with @qps !Congrats on the expansion.
I've seen some really helpful advice offered here tonight and an acquisition that hasn't hit the fan, what's going off!
Congrats on the purchase!
I had service with alnitech several years ago and was pretty satisfied. Hope it's going well in the future.
My VMBox is nearly a full year uptime. Renews next month. For $20yr I thought VM were fantastic. Hope the service and price continues after the acquisition.
I've had some outages that lasted hours. Seemed to be other customers abusing the host.
so now qps competing with their client?
so no more $20/year openvz vps with 5 ips?
They have a pretty decent service except in my opinion they suck because they refuse to enable fuse for me. Will the new overlords allow fuse?
No. FUSE is banned on OVZ for performance and security reasons. Use NFS or deploy KVM.
Touche.
First I'm hearing of this. It's an option in every openvz I have on 3-4 different providers.
Is there a knowledge base article explaining this limitation?
Any further word on this?
Still sorting some things out - but will have more info soon.
What about the AMS location? I have a renewal coming up. It has been performing great so I'd love to keep it but I'd hate it to be moved somewhere else in a couple of months.
