Netcup Special R2000 Plus SSD G8
Taken from their FB:
Currently you get
24 GB RAM (instead 16)
4 dedicated cores
80 GB SSD (instead 60 GB; or 600 SAS)
for 13,99€/mo and the ability to cancel monthly (no long term).
Setup price is 9,99€ one time.

wtf
edited...
if only this had cpu pass through, would have been super.
@Falzo
haha, already fighting against the urge... the 30€ coupon is still available, but because it's monthly setup+1month is not enough to qualify for that.
edit: maybe I should take two then? ...
Seems like you're going to loose crypto mining feature.
haha, yeah, to be honest I haven't looked at what the BF VPS is doing for quite some time... maybe I should put that to a real use first, rofl.
You should actually get three of these vps. Aller guten Dinge sind.. :- )
Probably enough RAM for a small GitLab instance
/s
Well, the 30EUR coupon is to big, to be applied on 10EUR setup fees.
Yikes, that's almost a dedicated server specs, especially with the 600GB SAS disk!
Should the €30 coupon be fully consumed? Can't we use it for the first month and setup fee (€13.99 + €9.99) and just forget about the €6 change?
Also: I'm digging netcup's transparency on why they are having this offer (via Google Translate):
With this unbeatable tariff, we're filling gaps on systems that still have plenty of space left over from memory and disk space. For that reason the quantity is unfortunately limited.
20EUR seems to work.
well 3x .de domains.
This is tempting - is this a "root server" as apposed to their "vpses"?
Yes. Only root servers have dedicated cores at netcup. Plus the R in "R2000" stands for Root afaik
Picked one up & delivered already...
You know the drill... :-)
send test results, please

Sure, opted for the 600G SAS model.
I think the following deal much better, as more storage and vcores:
Processor: 8 vCores
Random access memory: 16 GB
HDD composite: 160 GB SSD (RAID10)
Traffic unthrottled: 80 TB / month
15, 99 €

Though it has less SLA than root and no dedicated cores. Boils down to each individual's preference I guess^^
They have that offer with 1.6TB SAS as well https://www.netcup.de/bestellen/produkt.php?produkt=2199
not available anymore.
@Tom could you run fio on it for me pretty please? ;-)
Shanme I cant torrent
You can torrent legally :- )
I am confused, I used the 30EUR coupon, purchased that KVM + 3x .de domains, and they charged me 2.02EUR for the first month?
eh I thought the coupon only applies to setup fees... apparently it does apply to everything.
What coupon are you talking about?
The 30EUR coupon, when you switch.

Then I got myself:
https://www.netcup.eu/bestellen/produkt.php?produkt=2208
To let the coupon apply, I got 3x .de domains:
https://www.netcup.de/bestellen/produkt.php?produkt=2205
They asked for an invoice, I send them my Kimsufi invoice, afterwards I got a invoice for around 2EUR.
Instead of paying actually 9.99EUR Setup + 13.99EUR and + 3x .de domains for nearly free.
yes it does.
