Shortly I will be adding both a new location and KVM to our offering. I figured I would take the time to do a short beta test of the service to make sure it is up to par.
I have the following:
- 4 Cores
- 2GB RAM
- 15Gb Disk
- 1Gbps
- 1 Ipv4
Location LA
Order link for this beta is: HERE
All orders will be manually activated later tonight. All must pass fraud check to be approved.
I would love to hear any and all feedback. Feel free to post here or pm me/open a ticket.

Waiting for activation.
Just purchased, I have an existing account w/ service so I'm hoping fraud isn't an issue
Ordered. Do you support nested kvm? ;-)
Ordered - be interesting to see how it compares to so DO nodes i use
Ordered, looking forward to giving SSD KVM a shot, see how it compares with my RamNode.
Ordered! Looking forward to messing with it.
Do you want them stress tested or just normal-use tested..?
@cnzhhi I assume you mean openvz inside of kvm?
@ihatetonyy Either will work. I want to make sure they are primed and ready for everyone to use.
That can include a mix of stress testing or average everyday use that most people will probably do.
All those that passed fraud check should be activated
For those clients that need their solusvm username just open a ticket:
I mistakenly left it out of the welcome email.
Ordered a piece!
[root@xxx ~]# dd if=/dev/zero of=test bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync; rm test
16384+0 records in
16384+0 records out
1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 1.18827 s, 904 MB/s
Just ordered, figured I'd give it a whirl and see how it runs compared to my other nodes at Prometeus and Hostigation.
@MorningIris Thank you for posting some of your results.
I am looking forward to seeing some other feedback as well
@azizmb Thanks for joining the beta
How much on the regular pricing after beta?
fast support!!!
@DalComp All those that beta test will get access to a promo code for a special discount. (TBA).
There will also be a pretty decent offer with it posted as well soon after the beta.
Regular pricing will just be slightly above our normal SSD plan pricing
@fahimahammad I Try
Just finished installing webmin/virtualmin, every single modules included.
Using about 600mb and idling about 1.2G of Ram, Pretty good setup.
I/O was good, so the installation was fast.
@Morninglris Thank you joining our beta.
I am glad that you have had no issues so far. Keep me updated on if you find anything.
Thanks for the beta. Just installed CentOS 6 and ran a quick bench..

@pepper Thanks for testing
Good to see that it is getting pretty decent speeds to asia and Europe
@Fliphost Is this the asian optimized Quadranet network? The traceroutes to apac is impressive. Have a check at the EU routes.
TraceRoutes

@pepper
I will double check and get back to you on that
I did a serverbear: http://serverbear.com/benchmark/2013/06/10/nmBtmQt1OkDOc9PN
Not sure how representative it is, but I figured I might as well
@manacit
Thanks for posting it. I see the I/O is being hit a little hard from all the benchmarking others are doing at once.
Atlanta download is certainly weird, though just giving it a try from a VPS with another provider I believe the issue with their end.
Thanks again for being a part of this.
Indeed - I'm sure all of the people are up and benchmarking. I got in the 750 - 900 range before I ran this.
There's definitely something wrong with Lindode GA
from RamNode Seattle
1% [=> ] 2,083,076 182K/s eta 6m 29s
etc
@manacit I agree. Above @pepper posted another Atlanta test from a different provider that worked out much better:
Yeah that one irks me as well.
