Stick with the current provider in that case. I honestly don't think that a VPS with 1GB RAM + 40GB Storage from a reputable provider is going to happen for $20/Yr.
Low budget for that requirements.
Well UltraVPS does offer something like this on BF and CM, and the product has been solid so far
And neither BF nor CM are on the horizon..
RTFM please

$$ ??
What am I looking at?
thanks
They do mail servers? I don't see any on their site.
No. Just that they offer a reliable VPS based on the OPs request/budget.
Do not only make your decision only by looking at the prices, but also read aups and toses for providers' mail sending policies.
A bit over your listed budget but I could do something for $3.50/mo in our Winnipeg datacenter. We have a couple of users running mail servers without issue.

If person wanted to self-host a mail server on a VPS, my guess is they would not have asked for a mail server in the thread title.
@Epve if you want to self-host you might look at https://mailcow.email/ . There were some LET threads about it a while back and people seemed to like it. But a lot of mail server operation seems to be about IP reputation management, and typical cheap VPS don't do much of that.
That's more than double his budget....
You're right, "looking for a server to host an email server" - using mailinabox ATM, may look at mailcow later.
Thanks for qualifying host IP address rep !
So I may not need a dedicated Ip address if the hosts (shared?) ip has a good rep"..
ahahahaaha a clean IP on shared hosting. Good luck with that. Maybe you can find it in that sunny land where they hand out $100 bills on the street for free.
Unless you know what you're getting into, or you only want to receive email and don't care about sending it, you're better off using an actual email provider. It sucks that they have to exist but that's the world we now live in.
