Need VPS to host sites for independent sex workers
Touchy subject I know, but I have a few friends who are freelance sex workers (we're in a country where prostitution is legal) who are looking to have their own websites (you can get so far with the main ones, but having your own site means you can get better rates, and deliver a better personal brand).
I'm software engineer myself so usually I'd go with DO or AWS or whatever, but since the hideous SESTA-FOSTA act, their personal sites on things like Wix etc are being shut down and US hosting providers/platforms don't want to touch them with a barge pole (making it harder for them to get safer and better clients).
So I figured getting hosting in a European country where prostitution is legal would be a better idea. I'd say in my country (the UK) but we have our own batshit laws coming into effect.
Unlike many adult sites, they'd be fairly low bandwidth as they're mainly effectively brochures/galleries, but obviously sex work is a tricky subject.
What countries would people recommend? What sort of hosting providers are ok with this sort of content?
Kind regards

how many sisters you pay ?
Ho-Land
STDs maybe?
Isn't prostitution legal in amsterdam, Netherlands? You could find very cheap plans there
Please leave out the whoroephobic comments lads, sex workers are often much cleaner than other people as they get regularly tested.
That's true, the company would need to be Dutch though - if a US company has NL servers they're still screwed under SESTA-FOSTA
Yes you could try worldstream.nl or leaseweb for your requirements.
Also another requirement is that they don't get cold feet and take it down if the site gets reported by an obsessive client, for instance
Only one way to test your hosts for such stuff. On the plus side, if such a site is taken down it should have minimal impact on the client right?
Easier to be said than done.
You cant simply ignore legitimate complaints if they do come in.
I recommend Maple Hosting. Only acts on written (postbox) letters and promise to speak to Client first. NL company and servers.
Sure which is why I'm looking for a provider where hosting a site selling adult services is totally okay with the ToS.
I'm not sure about sex work specifically (you will need to check local laws) but I can generally recommend the following for controversial stuff.
Ecatel, Portlane, PRQ, KODDOS, Shinjiru.
Have a look where similar websites are based, I suspect NL will be perfectly suitable.
Just use any provider really that's privancy focused to the point where they won't search for issues in the websites that they host, use Cloudflare and hide your webhost so that you cannot be reported, issue solved.
If you think having Cloudflare in front of your site will make you bulletproof, I encourage you to try
I recommend North Korea.
may be tor onion hosting would work not sure about that
try https://www.tele3.cz
Cloudflare recently kicked off a significant site in this niche; they're not nearly as "bulletproof" as they used to be.
just host with @cociu
Try? As in the thousands of booter site that gets repeatedly reported but somehow manage to slip through Cloudflares tight grip? C'mon - I honestly do dislike Cloudflare, not particularly because of their way of allowing ones to hide with them as a shield. I mostly dislike their definition of security in relation to their "Flexible SSL".
Dosen't matter, if what he's saying is true and it's independent sex workers I'd imagine the risk of Cloudflare acting on these website so minimal that it's just unreasonable to think about. Plus, if they do, you change solutions.
Depends on the content for CloudFlare to care or not. They will pass information of the host server sometimes. I doubt escort websites would be a problem on CloudFlare.
Leaseweb NL, NFOrce, or Mikrovps.hu (located in Hungary)
That's what happens when your CEO kicks websites off because it hurts his feelings, you suddenly lose the legal stance of "we don't censor, we just accelerate".
Francisco
In the Netherlands prostitution is a legal occupation.
There is no legal reason why a dutch hosting provider could not host a website which advertises prostitution, or sex-work if you want.
Being a small hosting provider for select clients myself, I host an escort service website on my shared hosting server, which is running on a powerful VPS.
I have never had any problems or complaints from anyone, in any form or fashion about hosting this escort service website from my Netherlands based VPS server.
I would have no problem offering you a reseller account on one of my servers for exactly this purpose, except that my pricing structure has got very little to do with 'low end' ... quality first, pricing second for me...
For a VPS with a Netherlands based quality hosting provider, which has never given me any head-ache about hosting adult websites or prostitution / escort related websites from my VPSes with them, I would point you to TransIP.
Their English language website can be found at https://www.transip.eu/
I remember online.net had stickers that read "we host porn" or similar. So maybe try scaleway.
Ecatel/Novogora are probly only ones that wouldn't mind.
You do realize, that even if they claim to be independent, there can still be human trafficing involved. especially if you allow escort "companies" to do listing too.

@Liteserver, do you like whores? I mean host them?
But what else are you supposed to do when they hurt your fee fees?
