Yeah, kind of tricky these national holidays on LET: which ones, and how many? Personally, I'd prefer to keep to more internationally recognized events (BF/CM, Christmas, New Year, Easter), plus I like @AnthonySmith's idea of quarterly sales (remember March madness?).
Obviously, Cinco de Mayo is big in Mexico, also big in the US now, but it commemorates an important historical event in Mexico, and not one that people in other countries will necessarily have a sense of.
(Just to add that although BF/CM started out as a US event, it has spread to Europe, so it's become at least partly international. Moreover, BF/CM not a national holiday but rather a capitalist celebration. :-) )
