SYS GAME-1/2 500mbps
Anyone else noticed the new line of SYS GAME servers have 500mpbs? I asked their support about this and apparently it is correct

But interestingly not the GAME-3 server confused face

probably a typo?
From support:
Thank you for contacting SoYouStart regarding the GAME-1 server.
The information listed for GAME-1 server in SoYouStart is correct. The bandwidth of 500Mbps is correct.
Should you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Typo I guess. Based on ninzo59's cmt
wow, it sounds nice!
I bought the GAME-2, just because... you know
So apparently I could saturate my home connection when downloading (33,3MB/s) - 650KM, 11ms away.
But, downloading with an SP-32 at OVH is a pathetic 11,2MB/s - 0.26ms
Go figure
Anyways, I can confirm that my server is capped at 500Mbps...
Side notes: I got an 500GB backup storage vs 100GB advertised!
@FredQc
Sounds epic.
I picked up a GAME-1 in Canada. I also got 500Mbps upload (1Gbps down), 500GB backup space, and the server was provisioned with a 240GB SSD rather than a 120GB as advertised - overall a really great deal & good upgrade from my current Kimsufi server.
Seems like it is around 500mbps and they seem to be handing 240GB rather than 120 as it is appearing to be a common theme.

edit: Got 500gb of FTP backup instead of the usual for free.
Could you tell me what that script is? thanks
wget
I guess what I meant was how did you check the upload speed, the bench.sh only tests download
wget a file from the actual server ? You don't need a script for this.
How is that so complicated...
I think we are both misunderstanding each other, I think you wget a file from some other computer and the file was hosted on your SYS server? Correct. I thought you used some script on your SYS server to check the upload speeds.
Thank you. This is the result I got:
I got the 240GB SSD and 500GB backup on mine as well today. This went from a decent deal to a great one.
Getting a broken pipe error in the middle of the test lol
Welp
i'm tempted on trying a game1 server, hoping to get the 240gig ssd.
i picked up a game 2 two days ago.
did a few more tests, my upload seems to be capped at 750mbps, maybe its bursting
@ndm it's true:
What brand/model SSDs they using in these?
FR without stock bahhh!!!
My 240GB drive is a Samsung Enterprise SSD --
Device Model: SAMSUNG MZ7LM240HCGR-00003
Probably because they sent out an email earlier today and they were snatched up shortly after. Keep checking, though, it might come back in stock.
SAMSUNG MZ7LM240HCGR-00003 on Game2 CA
SAMSUNG MZ7LM240HCGR-00003 on Game1 CA too
I got Samsung PM863a MZ7LM240HMHQ 240GB
A quick question about sys panel is it possible to block ports from their panel just like for ovh vps series and is it possible to activate permanent mitigation mode?
It's the game protection and always active.
All UDP ports are blocked by default till you open those who you need.
oh ok so that 20 ovh rules firewall for blocking/allowing ports is available in sys panel?
no, you can't modify the network firewall on SoYouStart servers.
