nforce.com NL 24TB storage dedi for transfer
https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/118186/nforce-com-special-24tb-storage-dedi-for-66-45-excl-vat
I have one of these with somewhat better(different?) than advertised specs that I'm no longer interested in, it is about as good of a remote ZFS box as you'll get for this pricing. Sadly I'm not using it enough to justify it sitting around half empty, so I'd like to transfer it to someone who wants it.
Info:
1x Intel E5606 (has AES-NI, unlike the E5506 normally delivered with this server) 16 GB RAM ECC (normally has non-ECC ram it seems) 6 x 4 TB SATA (WD40EFRX models it seems) No RAID controller 1 x 1 gbit port 1 x ipv4 address Unmetered incoming bandwidth 25 TB outgoing bandwidth Remote management IPMI NZS datacenter Monthly recurring cost: € 70.95 excl VAT Renews on the 7th of the month(yesterday for me) Yours for 40EUR paypal, so 30EUR off for almost the entire month already paid.

Their op said hardware raid controller yours says none which is it?
What I wrote is accurate, "No RAID controller". They had several models, only the first few had a raid card, this is more meant for ZFS use.
hmm, tempted, zfs2/raid6 will give 16TB raw. still around 5€ per TiB and I don't need that much in one box ;-)
We always seem to think the same thoughts.
But seriously, @nekki this is your new 3eur/TB JBOD
nforce is a really solid provider!
Well, here we go.
@nekki
Jesus. That thing is like 2xCDROM.COM back in the day.. under #100/mo. How the times have changed.
That is a fuckton of disk, but I’m OK with my 20TB for £66.
This comes in a bit cheaper since you said GBP, but I guess you got the Clouvider special which is in the UK, probably has some bonus points for being in the same area as you.
Quite, their staff has been nothing but good, I just don't need the server anymore.
Forgot to mention, they don't seem to sell this config anymore, the current "starter edition flex" only goes up to 8GB (non-ECC) ram and 3TB disks. Hence why I want someone else to get the server I had rather than just recycling it back to nfo. It is a solid config if you want a nice remote zfs box.
It's actually more expensive - the price for my server was inc VAT. Ex-VAT it's only £55 or about €63.
But yeah, mine is preferable (for me) as a) it's in the UK and b) it's got the exact storage and disk configuration I wanted and c) it's got 2x the RAM and about 3x the CPU firepower.
Who wants to (re)start LET-SIMTEL?
'cmon guys!
I don't want to imagine the directory names.

The server has been transferred successfully to someone. Putting this here since I've still got a PM or two about it.
