Isn't Nyr's script a danger nowadays? Or Im from the future?

I'm still using it. Not sure how installing OpenVPN from repo and doing a basic config would be a danger, just makes it easier than a manual install.
This one from Angristan has been updated more recently if someone wants an alternative, never used it though.
I think people are being a little knee-jerky since it still defaults to simple cyphers. It uses a well known piece of software, and if the user isn't very smart (or chooses a simple scheme), it is plausible to have issues with interception/et al.
The script based upon it also does a few odd things, but Angstrom has been updated within the last two years, so it must be better- right?
Im using their onecloud SG location for L2TP/IPSec.
Its fine.
